I dislike him.......profoundly. Always have, always will.

It's because of this profound dislike that I don't like The Time, or any scene in any of the two Prince releated movies he has been in.

Morris has done a couple of sitcoms in the 1990's. He should do more of the acting because I think he is a natural. I could picture him with a role in Two and a half men or even a serious drama. Show us what u are capable of Morris.

Morris is more laid back off stage, but he can slide into that stage persona at any minute and have you laughing your ass off. He's always been very Cool to me. cool

Oh snap, I remember that show he was on with Sheryl Lee Ralph...damn can't remember the name of it, but wasn't he a hair dresser on that show? I don't think the show lasted a season and I don't remember the acting being spectacular, but he sure was funny. lol I wish BET or TVOne would re-air them.

But to comment on the main topic of the thread, I've always liked Morris. Like someone said, he made it cool to wear Stacy Adams shoes. And hell yes, he sure can clean up when he dresses, I love to see a confident man in a suit, dressed to the 9's, there's nothing sexier. I had a crush on him when I was little, those dimples he has are addictive. But most of all he has talent. The main reason why I would watch the Michael Baisden show was to see him. I'd love to see a clip of him playing the drums. Wonder if he and Prince had a "drum-off" at one point. evillol

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Me too. Didn't everyone notice when all of a sudden Jerome got buff at one time? When he was in "Under the Cherry Moon"? I think that's one of the reasons why I keep watching that horrifying movie besides the humor lol

I always wondered what kind of man he really is. All he ever showed us through both The Time and his solo records, as well as the 2 Prince movies and on stage, and even in interviews and friggin' authographs signings (at least the ones I watched and/or witnessed) was the character he originally created with Prince for The Time, all vanity/cool/seducer/superficial-attitude. There must be more to the guy than that!

Has anyone here ever seen another side of him, spoke to him privately or something? I'd really be curious!

"...In 1972, Prince’s cousin, Charles Smith, invited them both to play in his band, with Prince on guitar and Cymone on bass, and Smith noted how they had already developed a twin-like sixth sense when playing together. Cymone’s sister Linda Anderson soon joined on keyboards, and with Terry Jackson and William Doughty on percussion the band Grand Central was formed. By the time Prince started high school in 1973, Smith had left and Prince replaced him with drummer Morris Day. The “uptown” Minneapolis scene was starting to generate heat and included rival bands like Flyte Time (consisting of Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Jellybean Johnson, Monte Moir and vocalist Cynthia Johnson) and The Family..."

i came into this thread hoping to see these photos. the ones i had are lost. man look how handsome morris was and his freckles. i adore freckles! he had red tones in his facial hair too. don't know why he fucked his nose up tho. he didn't need no damn rhinoplasty. he was fine just he way he was.

andre wasn't cute back then. looking like reject from the group shalamar.

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

Morris is a natural actor. I think he messed his chances in Hollywood after Purple Rain. I read he didnt want to audition roles I guess he feel casting directors should recognisze his acting chops on Purple Rain, lol.

And also I am listening to his 1992 solo album Guranteed. Very underrated album. It is damn shame it didnt got the success it fully deserved. I feel had he release this album around 1990 or 1991, it would had been more successful. He release album the year when gangsta rap start to take control industry and New Jack Swing start to lose its appeal. Big Daddy Kane made appear on one song or two.
