At both charity gigs they're one of several groups performing.

Went to the Largo gig on Sunday night. Wendy performed The Life on guitar and LIsa performed Balloon on piano. Both with live Section Quartet string arrangements. Not an Earth-shattering performance, but servicable. Wendy seemed perturbed about something and said nothing. Lisa made a cute joke about tuning her upright piano when Eric Gorfain starting tuning his violin.

Sam Phillips' performance of So Glad You're Here was astounding. Margaret Cho's partnership with Grant Lee Buffalo is surreal.

I wonder how Wendy's dad is doing. I know he's battling cancer, like Lisa's mom is. Have both in my prayers.

I heart Margaret Cho. Guess that makes me a "Cho 'Ho". lol

Anyone go to the Safari Nights show? Saw some tweets about it. Read that Wendy & Lisa performed Purple Rain with the Section Quartet that night.

Lisa 2.0 (Cholodenko) is cute in her own way, but OG Lisa 1.0 (Coleman) is smoking hot. And I say this as a straight woman. biggrin

So...I'm guessing no other Orgers besides Jestyr attended these charity shows. Curious to learn how the Saturday night gig (Nov. 19th) went as well...

I had been out of the loop with the Melvoin and Coleman news but Wendy father battling cancer? I hope he is doing well and not advance stage. I thought Lisa's mother was doing well and beat the fight the cancer came back. It kind of weird it seems like what ever happens to Lisa family it later happens to Wendy life and vice versa.
