Interview with Cassandra O'Neal

http://www.keyboardmag.co...rview/4383

Nothing relevatory. But decent interview. Seems very talented. More versatile in what she knows than what I thought. Also saw a vid of her someplace, she's gotta a nice voice as well.

Change it one more time..

I can't BELIEVE the cut off her showing how she plays KISS!

I saw W2A twice and watched what she was doing cuz I love this arrangement of Kiss.

AND THEY CUT IT OFF?????

In this vid it looks like she is just playing a single A note repeatedly on clav.... then changes to like a D5 (just 2 notes). then an A5. In concert though it looked like she was playing more like chords or 2 hands.

And then the video picks up with the "Horns" part and they dont' even say what sounds she used (I have a Yamaha motif and wanted to know!) And I thought Renato or Morris Hayes played the horns part whiles he kept doing clavs but for that 1 second in the vid it sounded like she was doing both??

Is the full video available somewhere?

Ha. That's Steve Fortner interviewing. Great guy, and a real asset to Keyboard Magazine.

Nice interview. Cool that in the final clip she gave shout-outs to Patrice Rushen, Lisa Coleman and Eliane Elias cool for inspiring her as female musician to succeed in a male-dominated field.

Listening to some of the performances from this summer where Prince has allowed her to do her thing, she'actually kicks ass... I thought I wouldnt like her as much as I did Renato, but I'm starting to think she's just as bad in a lot of ways. Hope she sticks around.
