Name of this song?

At the Izod shows when they played some of Prince's songs over the PA before his set began, they played what I figured to be an associated artists' song, but I had never heard it before. The lyrics had something about "the jig is up(?)" Sorry for being so vague, but that's all I can remember.confused

"GARSON! Avez-Vous un crayon? That's French, understand?"

At the risk of being too obvious, could "the jig is up" be a mis-hearing of "Jungle Love" ?

Fake by Alexander O'Neal is all I can think of, too..

"the jig is up 'cause I discovered you're a fake, baby.."

from the Hearsay album (1987)

May you rest in peace, my beautiful queen, Teena Marie rose
