Maybe I am misinterpreting stuff, but I happened to check her facebook page today and saw two comments from two people that seemed to imply that Bria has a new CD in the making or is working on one. One friend & musician was wondering if she and Morris (?) were done with her album. It's possible that the person was asking about something old, but I was wondering if anyone here had any idea/knew something?

Are we soon going to be presented with a new CD from Valente??

Hmmm, this could be interesting. Wonder if it will be sold seperately, or partnered with another Prince album? I wonder how much if any Prince influence wil be on this possibly new album?

I've heard she's learned to make her balls clack together like castanets. Hopefully this new-found talent will be showcased on the album. Fingers crossed.

That's right, which is why I wasn't sure... But then I read that other comment from a few days ago whishing her good luck with ner new CD... Might be a reference to Elixir, but may also very well be an indication of you know what

Hadn’t seen that comment before, but you’re right… I guess most people expect that once somebody has released a cd and even gained some publicity (thanks to an association with Prince), a woman who seemingly has been building on a career for years, would try to make the most out of it and put out even more material. Some of us doubt (or fear ) that Bria would give us more, since she has done as good as nothing with the opportunity, but I guess that in a ‘normal world’ things would be different (and a cd would be to be expected - as expressed by the other comment on her FB).

But you never know of course. I don't think she cherishes great ambitions when it comes to being a singer though...

Well, the question is if that was her choice or Prince's decision. Who knows what ideas he had and we all know he can change his mind. Maybe he gave up on having her open her mouth on stage after a few rehearsals... Or you are right and she prefers it the way it is... I'm def curious whether there is going to be new music or not. And if Morris would be Morris Day? Or Hayes.. Wasn't it Morris Hayes that introduced Prince to Bria? Hm...

As someone who kinda liked a lot of her last album, I'd buy it (if Mr. Hayes lead its production again)...

My guess is that it depends on whether or not she's sleeping with someone with 'connections.'

I still haven't got any PROOF that Bria actually sang on 'her' album. Or live.

I wouldn't call it 'stage fright' but 'unability to sing'.

So I don't think we'll be punished with another 'thing' signed by her.

Oh, and Bria was apparently on stage at Prince's recent show, which you can see on this photo where she (if it's correct) is dancin' with Shelby and the second one where she's standing on the left side of the crowd.

So girl is still in the game.

Holy crap, check out Sheila's heels! How in the world does she wear those while performing like she does?!? At my age now, I could sit in them and that'd be about it, I wouldn't even try standing!
