AMAZING PRINCE TRIBUTE CHRISTMAS SHOW IN UK

razz i was wondering if there are any P fans from the North West of the UK? I'm attending a gig by an AMAZING band, the ten peice Prince tribute showband ENDORPHINMACHINE, they play "the Quayside" in Runcorn on the 18th Dec, they are a ten peice band with full brass section, made up of UBER fans who are all top session players from all over the uk, the singer is an actor who's been on coronation street, emmerdale, hollyoaks & loads of other TV shows, i've heard the show is being filmed, though for what i'm not sure, maybe TV??? i'm always totaly blown away by the musicianship & attention to detail, of these guys & i've seen them about 4 or 5 times, i've seen quotes from DR FINK & LISA COLEMAN about just how good this band are, a seriously good & faithful band. ..come on UK Prince heads, lets go crazy, ....it's gonna be a beautiful night!razz lol

hey biggrin I live in runcorn near to the old town, i've just turned 16 and i played the quayside with my band in november, its a nice venue smile I am a huge prince fan and just adore his music, truly blown away by him. This band sounds great espicially with the horns and everything wow. Thank you so much for letting us know about this, i wouldn't of known about it otherwise. Cant wait to tell my lead guitarist tomorrow, he will be ecstatic haha.

I got two sides... and they're both friends.

Also, being a musician myself i would love to talk about prince's music with the band after they've played. Do they only play the hits? coz if they play albums tracks and b-sides that will just be amazing biggrin

Hey Dandan, biggrin seriously they are amazing, get ALL your muso friends to go, you are in for a rare treat, i've seen 'none Prince' metal heads moving to this band, they are such brilliant musicians that even none fans love em too. they don't only do the hits, they do some seriously rare stuff too, and they are brave with it, i've heard them do darling nikki:-o , and the jay leno version of dorothy parker8-) , ..even the beautiful ones:-P , and do them amazingly well, all the screams and high notes too, the costumes, the high heels, the replica guitars, the linn drums, seriously these guys have it all, stunning!!! lol the gig is being filmed and they want comments from the crowd so get down there and get seen;-) . oh and the band WILL chat to you afterwards too, no problem at all;-) , seriously how many people could you get down there? it'd just look so good for the filming if it's filled with 'purple heads' bobbing! I'll see you down there for sure, just introduce yourself to the band as dandan and i'll pop n say hello, be good to meet another orger! see you on the 18th Dec.razz

Mikey, your mates will be glad to hear that the 18th dec is a SATURDAY, so grab your footy buddies, pop along, and party like it's 1999.

i saw them, i think in 2008 at the 1st boat party... (if you can get past the tallness of the frontman) they are pretty convincing & above all entertaining! have a great time, i'd go if it was closer

Thats where I saw them was at 2008 dawn experience boat party, I have to admit I thought he was a bit tall to be Prince but once they started playing he and the band where really on point with the music and the singer was very convincing. They are an excellent tribute band.

IMO I think there much better than that tribute band Purple Reign by miles. I would definitely go and see Endorphinmachine again.

FUNKNROLL! dancing jig "February 2014, wow". 'dre. nod

Wow! eek i didn't realise it was 2008, doesn't it fly by? I've seen them a few times now and ended up doing some publicity pics for them, last time i saw them they had the jay leno version of 'Dorothy Parker' down perfect! then they did 'computer' blue into 'darling nikki', my lady almost wet herself! razz they did 'the beautiful ones' and a guy actually accused Dale of miming, how cool is that? wink they just nail it every time, but that's because they're all HUGE fans. on the boat gig that wasn't the full band, the full band just HAVE to be seen. i know they have dates in the new year so as soon as i get them I'll post them on the org! lol
