Hello Orgers, Kirstie Alley has been on my mind lately, especially after I saw this old photo of her when she was young and hot. Question, was Kirstie and Prince ever an item? I never see any mention of her as being a protege of P's. Can someone add clarity to my confusion.

Why would she be a protege??? She was popular long before ever doing anything for Prince.

After following her for a month on twitter I had to remove her. She actually inspired me to just give up on the site. Artist need to realize it's the art that makes them interesting, not their thoughts...(well, for the most part. Kevin Smith is probably the exception.)

Of course the flip side is that people need to realize that "artists" are just regular people too... who just happen to be over exposed and sometimes over paid... but NOTE overly more intelligent.

Facebook and Twitter have been a double-edged sword for many prior stargazers. You can get closer than ever before to some of your idols... and then be sorry you did.

She's not a protege per se, but she did do those little skits in between his songs acting like a reporter on the album, so he might have "hit it". But that was also around the time he was with Mayte, so he and Kirstie were probably just friends.

We will never know for sure.

Nor sure of Kirstie and Prince were an item. It seems she might have been a muse of some sort since she was part of a dialogue used as intro to one of his songs.

As far as her being a protégées, Kirstie was soley an actress, not in music. She would never really be considered a protogee.

Ummm, being a "protege" has nothing whatsoever to do with whether or not Prince has "Hit it" or not. Morris Day could be considered a protege more than Kirstie Alley.

She was on Oprah (I think it was Oprah) back in the day talking about Prince and why she felt he was sexy. Next thing you know she was on the Symbol album.

I dont know about romance though...she was married at the time.

Kirstie has always been abig Prince fan. At some point they met and she did videos & interludes for the CD. She also presented a few awards to him on television around the time of the Gold Experience.

How do you "see the real person" through Twitter? How did you get to know Prince well enough to make such a statement with any amount of credibility?

In Prince's case, the dick moves he has made towards people like Wendy and Lisa (ie, issuing legal threats), his ripping off of fans via his website scams, and his childish comments on the web. Proof enough for me. With Kirstie, uhh, she posted the comments that represented herself on twitter.

I worked on Kirstie's show "Fat Actress" years ago and asked her about being a Prince fan. She said she was a huge fan of his. She has very beautiful eyes & a big booty...lol

Ummm I believe I said she is NOT a protege, she just did something between his songs.

And the "hit it" comment I threw in just because I wanted to, not to make a correlation to her being a protege or not.

Kirstey Alley is very pretty to me. I could see her being a Prince protege....about 75 pounds ago.

Kirstey reminds me a little of Demi Moore who I could totally see being a Prince protege. Two old folk doing unspeakable things in the dark.

seems like many of his girls were around 15 years younger except for the early chicks (Sheila, Cat, Vanity, Susan, Susannah)
