I was at the Controversy Magazine convention at Glam Slam where Carmen was for the most part debuted (as well as the Symbol album), and all I can say is that she was one of the most stunningly beautiful women I'd ever seen.

I guess it exists as a DigiPak CD-Maxi, but I've only seen it pop up on eBay a couple times in pretty shabby condition. I've never seen it in stores - and I easily obtained all the other Carmen CD-Maxis from brick-and-mortar shops.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Its weird, but I actually prefer a few of the outtakes to the final tracklisting. "Power from above" was obviously designed to open the album as its quite epic in production ala "Thunder" ("Go go dancer" sounds like "Thunder" to me actually) or "My name is Prince". Also, Prince is quite funny in that song too ("What the hell is that thing?" "My name is Carmen..." (cue Chuck D sample).
I like "Go Carmen go" alot aswell. I like the guitar on it. And the little kid who keeps buging her for an autograph. Not sure what thats all about but its fun anyway LOL.
I love "The Juice" aswell. Alot more lighthearted then a track like "go go dancer". Not sure why WB didn't like that one? Fun track.
Interesting story, but I always wondered why Prince wasted his time with such a talentless woman like Carmen. I'm not naive, I realize they were sleeping together, but she had no talent then and none now either.
Agreed! Carmen is pretty and all, but she should NEVER have recorded an ablum. I'm quite shocked Prince wasted his precious time. He could have done so much better in both departments!
Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol
