The NPG and Nick Jonas?

Apparently Nick Jonas will soon be joined by 3 members of the NPG. That must suck, going from Prince to a Jonas.

Nick Jonas Is Going Solo

By Sharon Cotliar

Yes, it's true: Nick Jonas is stepping out on his own. He's got a new band called Nick Jonas & The Administration, which will kick off a 14-city tour starting Jan. 2, and a new album due out Feb. 2.

But it does not – repeat not – mean the end of The Jonas Brothers, Nick tells PEOPLE. "This is something that can definitely co-exist with the Jonas Brothers," he says of his new band.

Still, performing without his brothers will be strange, the 17-year-old singer-songwriter admits. "I've never really stood center stage before," he says. "It's going to be different but I'm looking forward to it."

When Nick goes on tour, he says, Kevin and Joe will be in the audience cheering for him. "My brothers are my biggest supporters. They have told me they're looking forward to coming to the shows. They want to sit in the audience and see it from that perspective."

Nick Jonas & The Administration includes three members of Prince's New Power Generation as well as John Fields, the Jonas Brothers' producer, on bass.

"With three of the four guys being part of the New Power Generation, the funk R & B rock style we were going for is definitely there," Nick says.
"For what it's worth, you're somewhere here on Earth..."

I just saw the performance on the Grammy nomination concert. . Sonny T was on guitar, don't know who was on bass. I won't be buying the album but it's cool seeing these great musicians making some money.

I believe she did a covers album, called Coverage. According to wikipedia, Tommy and Michael B were on it, as well as Kathy Jensen and Dave Jensen (both from NPG Horns).

Didn't know that !

They did a good job behind swiss saxophone player, Michel Portal, on two records.
Also, with the guitarist Jef Lee Johnson, News from the jungle, in 2001.

Fine, fine, fine!! Sonny and Michael playing for a Jonas.. Bought the single, watched the tv performance, the band offered Nothing.. Mr Jonas voiced squeeked harder then a teenager going thru puberty.. It was bad... There was Zero funk in the new song.. I expected more! I wonder tho if Ryan Liestman touring with Jonas Bros brought about the collab... Michael & Sonny.. CMON. If u can have them in ur band.....do it Right!!

ok so this is the correct thread to comment on, right? right? cause i'm gonna do it.

here it comes...

A) this song sounds a lot like a half-assed "freedom 90" to me. take those lies and make em true, kiddo. (maybe i am giving this kid a bit more credit than he deserves, we'll see who is saying what in a decade or two)

B) there is a eerily familiar music video with amputees, little people, and pregnant women on youtube. i heard they cut the scene where he holds up a little white sign with "queer?" on it.

C) he is so young and his administration is so not young. looks really weird, "hey guys in your 50s, remember that episode of power rangers where billy the blue ranger was almost eaten by that giant tarantula? oh wait you were busy, you know, banging groupies and hanging on to your glory days"

i'll love you for who you are, nick jonas. i'm bisexual too, ain't nothin' wrong. i'm just wondering who is administrating what to whom.

What a jerk tryin to save his career by bringing in the NPG WTF.....
The energy in this field's been known to flicker lights, aight

Asong with no name, acapella moans and a bridge of silence

Undeterred nevertheless a masterpiece on butterscotch thighs

Turn off the lights, turn off the lights

Who cares how they look? And as for the sound, I've only heard the single, but they're playing pop-rock, and playing it well (not that I think the song is actually any good). You need to let your pre-concieved notions go. If these guys hadn't played with Prince, you wouldn't care about this. Why should it bother you who they're playing with now. Aren't they allowed to earn money?
