Thanks for posting. I will try to remember to catch this for Sheila and Jose Feliciano. However, why do they have Marc Anthony pictured when his name was not listed as a performer? perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

Why would you be celebrating Thanksgiving in October? Canada. It's like they're a whole different country sometimes.

serious, can someone explain that for an european. is this a private concert for the president or what? We have concert performances in The White House quite often. They generally are not private concerts for just the president, although, for obvious reasons, they are for a private, invitation only audience. The concerts are usually a way to mark a special holiday, shed light on a social cause, honor a particular person of outstanding achievement, or simply as a chance to celebrate the richness and diversity that exists in American performance and creative arts. Since the advent of television, these concerts are often shown on television via network tv or in the last few decades, PBS (the Public Broadcasting System station). You'll probably be able to eventually view concert on the PBS website (and probably find pieces of it on youtube).

Watching this now and Sheila looks so great! She's doing a fine performance, and it's so impressive that she is the musical producer for the evening. Nice work, Sheila.

I'm extremely impressed...Our very own Sheila producing a show at the WH! Great performances so far. "After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill...the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill...you stay in wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."

I'm extremely impressed...Our very own Sheila producing a show at the WH! Great performances so far. Ditto! I LOVE Sheila. She looked amazing in both outfits and she held it down as musical director and performer. I was so touched by seeing her perform with her father at the White House because I know it was a big moment for them to share. I was surprised that Carlos Santana wasn't there. Did he have a show in Vegas tonight? Other than that everyone else was very good, especially Gloria, Los Lobos and the great Jose Feliciano! The only low light was the Reggaeton guy. Edit - Obama needs some dance classes! [Edited 10/15/09 19:17pm] perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

I was disappointed that Santana wasn't there, but it was great seeing Jose Feliciano. "After this, there is no turning back. At least give us Wilsin & Yandel or Ivy Queen for fuck's sake! Oh wait, I know! Maybe they originally had Daddy Yankee scheduled but replaced him at the last minute when they found out that D.Y. is a Republican. Yeah, and how come; No Santana. No Ricky Martin. No Shakira. If Prince.Org shuts down, I'm writing SLAVE on my left buttcheek!

She E. has been the musical director for so many television telecasts for so many years, though. It's not like it's her first time being in charge of the music for a concert tv filming
