'in the key of nudity' - synth line query? - is that a sample from Prince's United states of religion ? [B-Side from 04?]

Just got my copy today. Man this mutha is bumpin.
Damn Jesse put his foot in it. I haven't gotten past
the first 4 tracks yet because it sounds so damn good.
The title track is fire. I'm diggin Propaganda a hell of
a lot more than i did when i heard the snippet. U&I R We R Us
shows Jesse in a whole different light. It shows that he has
modernized his style and bought it into the new millenium.
This is definitely my album of the year bar none.
Way to go Jesse! We've been waiting on an album like this 4ever. headbang

The seeds were sown with "Black in America" way back when, it's grandkids r

"Slave 2 R Freedom"
"Meditation 01-Astrology"
"Meditation 02-Self-Love"
"Redemption For The Soul, Enlightenment For The Earhole"

not what I expected at all, and I mean that in the most positive way.

His FUNK has grown 2 - now smoove and sexy...

"Verbal Penetration"
"100 Watts of Funky"
"Sheila Rae"
"Slo Burnin"

God GOD! welcome back JESSE - congratz on a gr8 album.

WOW! this CD is REALLY good!
I dug his earlier cds, but frankly never really got much spin in the last 15 years or so. These are really fleshed out tracks. "u and i r we r us" is blowing me away at how much he is channeling Curtis Mayfield. As a matter of fact I hear that a lot. And it's not a bad thing. Gotta give it to ALi VS. Frazier, great sound and skill. Just really getting into it ...but pretty blown away so far. We'll see how it does after a few days. Production is nice and clean too. I might get tired of the meditations and stuff- but they're pretty cool. I just tend to hate that kind of stuff. Like the reprises though, especially "Peace Be With You". Ok- I heard a D'Angelo thanks in the credits? Maybe that's HIM doing Curtis...hmmm...

the female backround vocalists on the snippets are extremely annoying/wack

Lack of synthesizers is a major dissapointment

overall im not feeling any of the tracks really

and this is coming from a big JJ fan

oh well, there is enough classic jesse to keep me satisfied

i might still get it just to support him but i want to hear drum machines and synth. damnit!

than you ain't gonna like it. It's way more of classic funk/R&B with a rock edge like back in the day. But production is fresh. You're prolly gonna wanna stick with them old discs cause this ain't what you ordered. Me- I didn't place an order, but happy what got served.

Have you tried a large independent retailer in your area?
Your local Best Buy is definitely not carrying it in store.
You would have to buy it online at Best Buy. If you have to
resort to buying it online i suggest trying spun.com.
