Cool. Thanks.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

yeah dude. If you can't listen to what Wendy and Lisa and the current lineup of the Family (or whatever) are doing and figure that out then there is no use in explaining it to you. I am a Prince fan, but his sound is stuck. Whether you like the music or not the other stuff sounds fresh and contemporary. I've played the W&L album for many people who totally dig it- waaaay outside of any knowledge of Princes catalogue (they do exist). They just aren't exposed to it. W&L are also working in the film industry currently and that is all kinds of relevant to pop culture. As far as the Family- well it's what I've heard so far. And so far I think it is melodically and musically great- and brings their original sound into today without a time stamp (like adding uh-huh uh-uhuhs and yeeeaaaahss...lol. So it's not a dig at Prince btw, i'ms just pointing out that they are moving forward in many ways that I see Prince not doing. And definitely handling their fans better- even if they have a smaller base to start with. My opinion of course.

Where's the stream going to be?
http://thefamily2point0.n...gi=aoGlfvO or MastersRecording.com?

Never mind Edit: I signed up on The Family's site.

No.

They have nor released anything yet of thier own... So, its "relative-ly nothing" yet..

People are fickle and conditional.
Interacting with the fans in an online chat = In-expensive marketing.

"Hey guys! We hope you like our CD!" Is good humble marketing in a dead market of arrogant fools.

People beome more friendly and open when they need to move product, and generate more $$$$ for their families.

Believe me, Prince would have done this if he needed to.

They love the people that love them, and that's about it. The people love them because they were characters in Prince's camp that they can relate to. They see themselves in Prince pajama outfits when they see The Family and Wendy & Lisa. No offense to them at all.

...The new Fmaily CD is not release yet, and its their 1st without Prince writing everything for that supposed "clasic" CD in 1986.

Wendy & Lisa contributed nothing to that CD (to my knowledge).

They've played out quite a few demos on their website and yes, Wendy and Lisa have been playing with them recently.

Why so negative ? Are you Prince in disguise (or has Bria got yet ANOTHER sign on name ?!)

He did need to. He does need to. He hasn't. He strongly prefers to bite the hands that feed him, and has demonstrated that for years.

The song I can't wait to hear is the clip with Eric Leeds in recording his sax piece and Susannah & Paul at the controls, I love the feel of that song
