Dr. Fink Radio Interview Sunday 01/25/09

This Sunday join Mi-Ling for a conversation with "Grammy" award-winning keyboardist, Matt Fink, (AKA) Dr. Fink. He was known for portraying a doctor in surgical scrubs in Prince's legendary bands, The Revolution and NPG.

This famed keyboardist healed the souls of his patients with an elixir of electronica, funk and techno beats. Over the years he earned more than 30 R.I.A.A. Diamond, Platinum and Gold Awards, as well as MTV, "Grammy" and American Music Awards for the albums, "Dirty Mind, "Controversy," "1999," "Purple Rain," "Around The World In A Day," Parade" and Sign O’ The Times!

Things haven’t slowed down for the good doctor. In 2009, he was making house-calls on Diddy’s, “ Making The Band” series. Find out what Dr. Fink is doing now!

Why did he dress up as a doctor? Did he drop out of medical school or somethin? Hey FINK you are a keyboardist, you ain't no surgeon. Hee Hee!

At first he wore a jailsuit when they were opening up for Rick James,
but since Rick wore a jailsuit during the song "Bustin' out"
Prince thought Matt Fink should think of something different to wear and
asked Fink is he had any suggestions,and he came up with the idea to dress like
a surgeon.

Prince thought it was a great idea and sent after a surgeon suit and
Matt became Doctor Fink biggrin
