During the Tamar era I saw them live in NYC and MOrris was the only keyboard and he held it down.

Organs, synths, piano. I play keys and am not the best soloer but I don't really dig Renato. Yes he solos well but I don't think his style fits with Prince. He is more jazz.

BTW, why do people always say "Mr Hayes" rather than Morirs?

And did Bonnie and Rosie really play? And just organ? Or all the Lisa piano/synth parts??

Prince calls him Mr. Hayes. Everybody else just calls him Mo.
Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Hope Renato come back soon, he's by far the best piano/keyboards player P has ever had in his band. Mr. Hayes is just an average guy compared to him.

Not my truth and from where I am sitting in my house. It's the only one that really counts to me. You stay with your train of thought and I will stick with mine.

Alrighty... This is my last post on the ORG before I have to get back to work.
Morris was my first mentor- along with Jack Robinson. They had a studio together on Lake Street. Coming to the States from Zimbabwe in the early 90's, Morris and Jack had to teach me everything from scratch- including how to use/run tracks on a computer.

I know what Morris can do- both as a player and producer. He's frikking amazing. PERIOD. And out of most players in the P court, he's probably been around just about the longest now.

I for one (KUDOS HATMAN) stand up applaud him not only for his never-ending patience and kindness, but for HOT hairstyles (brother makes me jealous) and mad, MAD skills!
