Over the weekend I found a really old CD, Elisa Fiorillo - I am. I popped it in and noticed that the song I am was also covered by Jonny Lang. Then I remembered that Elisa Fiorillo was a Prince protegee.

Did Prince write I am? Is Jonny Lang a Prince fan?

Thought so...and in thinking back now I do remember the JL connection from that DVD.

They really should work together again, that would be an amazing collab.

No he doesn't. Prince calls him out, but he never shows up onstage.

Jonny Lang's cd with I am on it is fantastic. He's a true musician with tons of talent.

Yeah he covered it. I never heard her version though. I saw his album hanging up at Institute of Production & Recording along with St. Pauls work here in Minneapolis. Femi Jiya works there now too.
