The Time 8.15.08 in Minnesota. A review.

Somebody please help me understand what i just witnessed.....
Why did i get to see the original line up at the grammys with a comment from JJ that a new album is "in the bag. its sick." A perfomance on Leno with an online interview with that stutter fuck who couldnt do 5 minutes of homework,
AND I GET TO SEE A D-LIST LINE UP OF FREEZE AND RUFFIN WITH A FAT JEROMEWANNABE.
Thats right, no jerome, no jesse, no jimmy, no terry in their hometown.
I'm no hater, i love my boys and i loved the show.
but i feel deceived.
dressing ruffin in pink pants trying to pass him off as JJ is an insult.
Oh yeah, no merchandise, it was hilarious.
There was a line for what everyone thought was Time t-shirts but once people realized it was the promoters crap, we all walked away empty handed.
Morris was awesome. Monte and Jellybean were great, and it was cool to see Jellybean play the drums instead of guitar.
But i still feel deceived.
Honestly, i went to see JJ.
In my opinion, kudos to Morris trying to keep it together, but i doubt there will ever be another album.
it was more disorganised than a prince tour without a record label.
I would like to see a tour with Morris and Jesse doing their solo material with The family and mazarati opening.
Oooo! and put Alexander O. on the bill! And why not Andre while i'm dreaming.
But i digresssss.
Morris was great. He was the show.
I'll post pics tomorrow.

Vegas was the only shows for the original line up as of right now. All other shows are the touring line up.

Everyone would have loved to see JJ, Jimmy and Terry up there. But there was never a promise that it was going to be the original line-up at this show - that was reserved for Vegas. It was Morris Day and The (half) Time. Maybe that should have been made more clear in the advertising... sad

Beaner: eek yeah, I wonder how big of a hangover that "freaky" chic had this morning! lol

It was a fun show though and it sure made me miss The Time.

Record companies do not put major tours together..

In fact, they use to make no $$$$$ from the touring... Now (from what I hear) tthey do because CDs do not sell the way they used to.
