funniest bit:

"the song is called jerk off?"

-morris "no but i do get jerked off" falloff

yeah the other memebers of the band were mic-ed horribly i couldn't hear a word they were saying

nice clip of them doing skillet , i turned it off during jungle love tho..
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I must admit, as I was watching Jesse Johnson and Morris Day, I was thinking: "I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has grown older", albeit as gracefully as we have.

Though I did kinda like "Jerk Out" back in the day the title was a little embarrassing. In fact I remember buying the 12" copy of that song and being a little embarrassed to buy it because of the title. But Prince had wrote it so hey! It wasn't the first time being embarrassed to buy a Prince record (Lovesexy).

At least he had a microphone. You think for such a large group a professional broadcaster would have asked for another couple of mikes so you could hear the answers properly!

That interview was abominable! (and no, Anx, it doesn't help - in fact it was "bleeding obvious," but didn't make it less chalk-screechingly excruciating...)

Where are the two extra songs?

okay, you do know that "John" is the Former stuttering john from the howard stern show, the same guy who asked Prince about beating up Michael jackson...right?

That wasn't John at the 2000 press conference. it was a Stern reporter, but not John.

Stern and the crew make constant fun of the fact that the guy known for his speech impetement has been groomed and "fixed" by Leno as an announcer, the one thing he can't do.

It was just so Leno could steal something from Stern. they have a long standing rivalry. Obviously with the move to Satellite Stern won, Leno and John lost. Big Time. After 2009, John is out of a job!

mad I hate it when they choose an interviewer that knows absolutely nothing about the band's history. A little research would help as a courtesy to one of the most revered bands around. Just two seats away from you sits the greatest producers of the 80's and 90's (not to mention Chairman of National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences honors) and they get reduced to being kiss butt band members to Morris...Ugh!

In today's age, with information everywhere there is no reason to not know anything about the individuals you are speaking to. My goodness John, wiki, utube, or lookup their myspace! Don't insult them and us by making fun of Prince's height and making jokes about "the white guy" in the band.

i agree cause they do it with any artist/actor, they would rather play dumb and repeat the same old things over and over instead of doing that research.

This guy who was interviewing them was terrible! Listening to the interview I keep getting the feeling that he is taking this interview for a joke. Like he really doesn't value all of them as musicians, he's only asking basic dumb ass questions. Stupid. disbelief Then making fun of Prince, very, very unprofessional. Of course Morris going to speak the truth no matter what. That shit was funny though "he ain't the easiest mofo to work with..."...but on the real, if it won't for Prince, there would be no Morris Day & The Time, and thats for real.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

This guy's interviewing technique stinks... ignorant, racist, sizist and downright dull... those drummer jokes are as old as the hills! Morris and the guys shrug it off well.

Even ignoring the Time's history, limited research should have informed him that he had one of the biggest selling writing/production partnerships of all time at the end of the row! Hello, Jam & Lewis anyone???

Still, the blinding live performances made up for it.
