Has anybody heard her new stuff?

http://www.tamardavis.com...ntent.html

She actually sounds really good... Listen to the song "Ice Cold"... Hard to believe she's still unsigned when so many more crappy singers have record contracts already.

her CD couldn't compete with what's out today - the only thing that could have made noise was "Sunday in The Park"and even tho it was released u c how that did..

plus she has an identity crisis as a solo artist-somethings just off about her look and vocally tho she can carry some notes i'm not a fan of her voice

but she was good when she was a background singer / dancer with the twins during the 3121 phase, that i can not take away - in fact i think the twins suffered vocally once she left - she is so much better than Shelby - Shelby is the first person in Princes band I never felt a connection for - i don't get her at all...

how ever i'm glad Milk and Honey CD wasn't released - i wouldve been so mad that i bought it - the live concert oversions f Milk and Honey and Closer To My heart sound much better live than the over produced CD version... oh I do like " I can't Keep Running" however it's too mature of a song for her to sing in my opinion..

I am listening to this CD now. I'm sorry it's just not good. I am halfway through it and there is nothing that is grabbing me. Sunday in the park is good, redhead stepchild is ok. I now see why Universal decided to not release this.

So on visiting Tamardavis.com again just now, the Milk & Honey album is no longer available for streaming...

So I've listened to Redhead Stepchild just twice before and now...!

Has a certain Purple person asked her to take that album down?? Seems very likely to me.

I liked what I heard. Shame it will never see the light of day.

I liked when she was on the NAACP Awards performing with Prince. She sang Aretha Franklin. She sounded pretty good, too. I don't think her vocals on 3121 showcased her talent as much though, but I love The Dance. biggrin

She can really sing. M&H is a big big loss.

It wouldn't have sold, but it's a great album.

And live..... I've only heard her on a coupla boots, but still.... DAMN. The Chicago show is superb, track it down if you can.

"For an entire month" or "4 times" wink

Still, good to see she's still getting out there. She must be gutted about the way things went. I wonder what happened... will we ever really know?
