Not sure if you all know about Mayda, but she's the first protege of Michael B.

Thanks for posting. Looks like she's playing a few gigs next month - I'll have to check one out. The audio blog demonstrates what a cool cat Michael B is - even though some dude annoyed him by shoving a demo in his hand, he still took the time to give it a serious listen.

listened to her music, and i actually really liked it!

I heard Mayda perform last week. If you can, check this chic out! She is a trip and with Michael B on drums it is funky as hell!
Me thinks a new wave a Mpls funk is about to begin and Michael B may very well be the man behind it!
