Anybody see Sheila break down on last night's NGAB?

She totally lost it after a band performed a touching version of Rod Stewart's "You're in My Heart." She's such a softie. I love her as much now as I did 20 years ago.

Just because you do not see a musician on television often doesnt mean they are not working. What a bunch of haters.

Man, I just saw the performance and before I knew it, tears were rolling. Then Sheila got emotional and the waterworks really started. I love Sheila.
I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

i thought the performance of that song was weak, but i don't think it translates well on tv.
The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

First, I only tape the show to watch Sheila .

That said, her comments are the only one's worth listening to; she gives actual advice that the bands can use and is based on her technical knowledge (which is often very impressive because we think of her as a percussionist mainly, but she references things related to guitar, bass, and overall musicianship).

I FF's through most of the song, but I know that group is really talented. Moreover, I get the impression that Sheila has gotten to know the bands on a personal level. She often refers to each person by name and seems to know things about them (which is nice; can you imagine Paula doing that?? smile )

That band (THe Clark Brothers) is one of the bands that started out as a Christian band (Denver &MHO also are) and given's Sheila's invovlement with her faith, I have a feeling there was a whole other level of emotion/interpertation going on with that performance that as TV viewers we may not have picked up on.

At any rate, I really admire her for showing her true emotions like that on national TV.

I wish she had her own weekly show!!! When she was the band leader on Magic Johnson, the best part of the show was when she and the band would go into and back from commericals.... they were turning it out each time!!!
