I know he was married to Jody Watley for a while.....they had a son..
he's more into producing now...produced for Jody and Adam Ant. He hasn't had a hit since "Dance Electric" I don't think. | |

There is a site dedicated to him somehwere online with lots of rare information. A guy down the street used to know Andre and his brother..who was the manager of his group called "The Girls" he told me a LOOOOONG story about the early days of Prince Andre and his brother and the beginnings of his radio advertising for their albums here in Minneapolis Straight Jacket Funk Affair

OMG, I love them!mmmhmm...his bro was shook up by some people at Columbia, or another company and was scared out from being their manager...he let them go eventually. Supposedly when they used to come to some club (before their album was released) they were all pretty and tame (Andre's brother taught them how to be classy in public even though they didnt have alot of money) and always sat in the back in matching dresses not having a drink and just looking untouched. Eventually they got a record deal, and someone tried to take them over. Andre was approached by some dudes and they threatened to do harm to him if he wont mind his business about Andre, and The Girls. Afterawhile he says next time he saw the Girls at that same club they were getting drunk and actin wild..and got in some shoddy cadillac and not a limo as they came in. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Dig, I'm the least bit gay, but Andre, naturally, is a better looking cat than P is. And he's held up, age wise, a lot better than P has. Granted, he doesn't tourrd like P has through out the years and doesn't have the stress. But even back when Andre was playing with P and when he went solo, he was just a better looking brother. oh yeah! When I saw Prince during the Controversy album with the Time and Zapp, me and my girls were going to see either the Time, or Andre Cymone. Prince was into raincoats, bikin underwear and wearing his hair like he just stepped out of the shower. Andre was taller and much more handsome. I would love to see a recent photo of him. Andre never wore all that shit. No he wore a wedding dress on stage and don't fool yourself about make-up. He had a litte bit on back in the dirty mind days.
