Nikke Sixx & Vanity Just saw an interview show on VH1 Classic w/ Nikki Sixx. He's talking about his book "Heroin Diaries". He talks about when Vanity was his "girlfriend" & she "taught him how to freebase".

Nikki Sixx and Vanity lived together as a couple for a while in the 80s, there are a few bits and pieces about it in the Motley book, "The Dirt". They used to basically spend their days (from what I've heard) doing drugs and, stupidly, dabbling in the Occult. Nikki's manager supposedly turned up at the house one day and the two of them were huddled in a corner terrified because objects had been flying around. Nikki was doing drugs before he met Vanity, but it was her that turned him onto doing much more serious, life-threatening drugs. Eventually he got tired of her and embarrassed by her and they broke up:
"The second she opened the door, she fixed me with a crazy stare. Her eyes seemed like they were about to whirl out of her skull, and I knew before she even spoke a word that she was completely psychotic...while smoking crack, she would lecture me about how drinking Coca-cola was bad for my stomach lining...The relationship was just about drugs and entertainment, not love or sex or even friendship. But when she was f**ked up in an interview, she told the press we were engaged. She always found a way to make my life as difficult as possible...I stopped dating Vanity. Whenever she came out to meet us, she'd annoy me, the rest of the band and the road crew by riding a bicycle around the stage in the middle of a rehearsal or doing something else obnoxious. It wasn't much of a relationship anyway, and the drugs had caused her to lose a kidney. She was even starting to lose her sight and hearing." (From Nikki's chapters in The Dirt) Nice girl. I'm sure meeting up with Mr. Nikki Sixx didn't help her problems. But please he can not blame his drug usage on Vanity or the severity of his drug problems on her. They were both to lost souls. Today Vanity is an Evangelist sharing her testimony with others. Nikki Sixx I don't really know what he's into these days. I don't really care. | |

The first half of your post is actually about Lita Ford and Nikki Sixx during the time Motley Crue was recording Shout At The Devil. Nikki was delving deep into the occult at the time. A lot of freaky things happened. Lita had enough of it and left. The second half of your post, well that's just Nikki talking "dirt" like he does throughout the book. Obviously there's some bad feelings about Vanity, and that's why I'd take what he says with a heapful of salt. If you read the book, you'd know that Nikki (and Tommy) were (and still are to a degree) some of the most messed up people who ever "graced" the Hollywood scene... and yet you're gonna chide Miss Matthews for their troublesome relationship and the amount of drugs that may have been involved?? Nikki wants to say they were never engaged?? HA! Indeed they were. Vanity was beaming at the time, showing off her ring. Her sister Patti (who had finished with Eddie Murphy and was now dating Tony LeMans) was right there by her side. It was all coming together.
