No, the last thing I saw her in was "Polar express",2004 I think she's sharp

She joined the cast of Law and Order CI last year but quit soon after she joined. Her character was suppose to replace Courtney B Vance's character. After she quit, she was replaced by Theresa Randle. I have no idea what she is doing now.

When we think of black actresses with alleged emotional problems, we automatically think of Maia Campbell and Lisa Nicole Carson. Now, you can add one more black actress to the list. We reported on this young lady last year. She has had ups and downs in her career and personal life but now, at the rate she's going, she's on course to become the next fatality in black Hollywood. Rewind: When she was off drugs, she was involved in a passionate relationship (on her end) with a famous black celebrity who she was madly in love with, he forced her to have a abortion. After he dumped her, she had a nervous breakdown and she had to be hospitalized. After she was released from the hospital, her life took an upswing and she was awarded a seven figure payment that she squandered in a year on men and drugs. She paid for their customized cars and the rest was spent on massive amounts of drugs. Fast Forward: Her drug use has become so severe (crack and heroin) that she is now hanging out in crack dens in South Central, Los Angeles. To make matters worse, she has began to trade sex for drugs. Due to her unsafe sex practices and shooting heroin, sadly, this once pretty actress-probably has more than one STD. Hint: She’s appeared in a hand full of movies but one stands out, made in 2004.

Nona Gaye has been guessed by several blind item sites... and now some corroborating things to this... such as she was supposed to be part of
Law and Order and was cancelled at the last minute.

PANACHE REPORT 05/11/07

So in the IMDB boards on Nona Gaye's profile they had a blind item psoted that was supposed to be about her and her then boyfriend Chico Debarge (from the Debarge music family). It was posted September 2006

This black female celebrity has a drug history that she has briefly spoken about but she seemed to conquer her demons because she worked in a few back to back projects. Sadly, she is back on drugs, this time, it's heroin. She and her boyfriend, who was also famous briefly (and who is a part of a musical family) are crack house regulars. He smokes crack, while she shoots up. She got introduced to heroin through her boyfriend's brother (also well known and famous) who also shoots up.

Instead of going to auditions, her whole day is spent, getting enough money together by begging, borrowing or stealing to cop heroin and crack.

A great opportunity came her way but she showed up under the influence of heroin and vicadin. She was so high, she was nodding off as chills raked her body and track marks covered her left arm. She was asked to leave and not to return. This gig would have paid her six figures a month.

This once attractive woman was arrested (a few months ago) with her boyfriend briefly when a crack house was raided but she was released shortly afterwards. It was a bit more complicated for the boyfriend because it may have been a violation. This didn't make the news because white cops were the arresting officers and the couple were unrecognizable due to drug use and they "aren't big name stars" outside the black community.

Don't be surprised if this woman starts turning tricks for drug money because she is seriously "chasing the dragon."

I know there are some people here on the org who are active in her fan clubs, forums...I am wondering if there is anything new in the works for Nona, so at least I can post on this board that it is not Nona and the reasons why.
I hate to think that this is true... she is so pretty and I think a budding talented actress.

There was someone who either ran Nona Gayes fan site or talked with the owner of the website.

I checked one site and there hadn't been in posts in over a year.

Also, the story about losing the Law and Order role seems to support the blind item.

Maybe someone knows what is going on with Ms. Gaye.

And the part about black superstar romance and a pregnancy... I know this can't be about her and Prince. I hadn't heard anything about Nona getting pg by Prince... so maybe that is what will prove this to be untrue. also anyone knows if NOna actually dated one of the Debarges??

Also, I've always heard the rumor that she was pregnant and "forced" to have an abortion but there's no way to ever confirm that so we'll never know. Not that we should. . .

I've heard some things about Nona and some of this is in line with it with regard to her reason for leaving Law & Order and the drug use - not the prostituting and all that other craziness. I hoped then that they were just rumors. I know that she admitted to having a cocaine addiction back in the day, so I hope that she has not relapsed. Especially since she has kind of disappeared.

There was a rumor that she and Chico were going to get married, but I remember a radio station here in Chicago broadcasting that Chico said they were not going to be married.

I hope that all is well for her.
