Hmmm...that is a bit strange for promotion of the book.

I would be interested in reading her autobiography, if that's what it is (or is a "coffee table book"), but I'm not giving my phone number to anyone.

On her web site, it still has the message up about the book not being done yet.

DG- I'm a publicist and work with a couple of related artists/acts. I usually get wind of this stuff first... That's my biz!

I do it for work but also out of love as well. In this case it's out of love. Denise- with or without Prince- was amazing.

Ok, I went ahead and sent an email asking for pricing and ordering info. I got the auto reply, with this link:

There's still nothing here about the price. It just seems like a lot of running around to order the book. Why not have an "order here" button on her website with the price and what not. You have to give her your phone number and address in order for her to confirm your order, but you haven't really ordered it yet, have you?

I always leave my phone number blank when ordering things online, if I can. I gave my number once to someone I met online, and they turned out to be a huge freak, and I had to get my number changed. Plus, my number is unlisted now because of some lunatic that got my number from information and called me to harrass me about some letter to the editor I wrote to Newsweek magazine that got published back in '04. But that's another story...

I didn't know this was a retail forum.

I emailed Ms. Matthews. I emailed her in the past concerning her book and she will respond to you. Her website does say that her book isn't finished yet. But, I just went to amazon.com and someone said the book was published. Evidently it was very limited. Anyway, I emailed her and I hope to get a copy soon.

I'll be very interested to see what the price of this book is. It sounds really cool, but I am also hesitant about the way in which you must order the book. The way it's set up sounds sketchy. Call me chicken, but I am wary of giving out my phone number. You never know what freaks are lurking behind the computer screens (cough, MickG, cough j/k). Some of you braver folks go first and then hopefully if it's not too expensive I'll maybe get one.

to me, it's an opportunity for an evangelist to minister to those who are willing to buy her book, I mean, those willing to listen . . . .

I got another email from a "secretary" with Pure Heart Ministries, asking me to reply to the email with my phone number so Ms. Matthews could call me with the pricing info. That was on Monday. I gaver her my cell number. No call yet.
