Who had the better album in 1985 --> Andre or Jesse?

Which is better, A.C. or the Revue? Which did you enjoy listening to more in 1985? What about now? Why?

If you want to rate the following songs, go ahead...

A.C. -- Andre Cymone, 1985
1. The Dance Electric
2. Neon Pussycat
3. Pretty Wild Girl
4. Book of Love
5. Fallin' Fallin' [CD-only]
6. Lipstick Lover
7. Satisfaction
8. Sweet Sensuality
9. Vacation
B1.Red Light
R1.Lipstick Lover (club version)
R2.Satisfaction (dub mix)

Jesse Johnson's Revue -- Jesse Johnson, 1985
1. Be Your Man
2. I Want My Girl
3. She Won't Let Go
4. Just Too Much
5. Let's Have Some Fun
6. Can You Help Me
7. Special Love
8. She's a Doll
B1.Free World
B2.Fast Girls
R1.Be Your Man (extended remix)

(note: i didn't include edits, 12" album versions, or obscure remix versions)

This is a tough one,but I gotta go with Andre's album. The song "Book Of Love" is my favorite, and there is a superb slow jam "Pretty Wild Girl",not to mention the first single "Dance Electric",one of the best songs that Prince gave to somebody else.

I'd probably go with A.C. as well. I loved that "Lipstick Lover," "Satisfaction," and "Sweet Sensuality" all led into each other on Side 2. Those were my favorites (especially the 12" versions), not to mention "The Dance Electric" with its b-side "Red Light." On Jesse's album, I liked all the songs well enough, with "She's a Doll" being my favorite and the b-side "Free World" (I used to play that 45 to death).

1985's the summer. My two best musical purchases were "Around The World In A Day" and "Jesse Johnson's Revue". HOWEVER, I do remember "The Dance Electric", and I have the 12" of that in my crates as well.. Gotta go w/Jesse on this one!!
Man, I wore that album OUT!!!! Still use it to this day, more so than "Dance Electric". Still think it would be cool to hear these two do something together!!

Jesse, there's no contest here for me. But the Dance Electric is my JAM, Wendy and Lisa's vocals are to die for.

Andre's album has better material, the production was better,...it's just a better album.
SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him."

NPGFUNK

I recall Jesse's album setting some kind of record for a debut album or something like that. I know it was a bigger hit than anything AC did. Be YOur Man, I Want My Girl, and Can You Help Me simply squash everything on AC EXCEPT dANCE eLECTRIC. cool
And since when is there a CD os AC????? That album wasnt released on CD.
