eek lol It's OK, I'll hip you to her. Mavis used to be in a group called The Staple Singers in the 1970s with hits like "I'll Take You There" and "Let's Do It Again". They also had a jam in the 1980s called "Slippery People".

Mavis later hooked up with Prince.....I think maybe around 1989 (I'm not sure, I don't have that first album). I have another album she hooked up with Prince on in the early 1990s called "The Voice". The title track is nice and I like another track called "You Will Be Moved".

oh yeah i've heard of the staple sisters though i dodn't know anything about them. didn't know one of them was down with the purple one.

I haven't any protege-cd... Often look for Apples 6, Vanity, Sheila E., Mayte but I never find any cd (I know I could order them on the internet). But Mayte seems to be the hardets one to find. Why is that?

I'm shocked that there's been NO mention of Taja Seville's debut. Interesting. Had some nice jams on there. "Love is Contagious" was a hot jam!
