Paisley Park Group "Good Question" ???

Does anyone have any information on this group (a Duo, brothers I think). Did Prince have anything to do with them? Why and How long were they on Paisley Park. any info would be helpful.

Prince's managers at the time (Cavallo,Ruffalo and Fargnoli) heard a demo by this duo and brought them to the attention of Prince. They released their self-titled album on Paisley Park Records in 1988.The first single "Got A New Love" became a minor hit on R&B radio, but the album bombed and we never heard from them again.Their album featured no Prince involvement.

The first single "Got A New Love" was sent to clubs with a C+C Music Factory remix. It went to #1 on Billboard's dance chart.

I bought this CD just for nostalgia. I like having the Paisley Park catalog - even if some of it blows

They were brothers , the album was awful,I got the chance to see them live with Guy and Appollonia. They crowd did not like Good Question or Appollonia and they let it be known. They ridicule andand was throwing stuff at them so they could get the stage. Appollonia threw stuff back , this happened at The Ritz in NYC BACK IN 1988.

Remember that orange postcard that came with the 'SOTT' vinyl album? You had to write your address on it and send it back.I mailed it in,thinking it was an invitation to join Prince's fanclub or something. The only thing they ever sent me was a flyer advertising the Good Question album mad

I bought the album and it is terrible.A bunch of lame, generic, faceless dance/pop tracks that didn't sound the least bit distinctive.

I wrote to the address and they sent me a picture postcard of Prince in a yellow suit. It looks like it could have been from the "Anotherloverholenyohead" video.

That is soo funny. I met one of the members (Brothers) of good question in the late 90's and he was down on his luck and jobless and about to lose his apartment in Philly. He was wearing a ton of make-up (Pancake #39) and talked like Michael Jackson. Really fem. I told him about a job at a hotel in passing and by the next week he was the new Doorman at the Ritz Carlton in Philadelphia.

Wow Prince protege to Hotel doorman in six short years.

I wonder what Eliza Fiorillo is doing now? (Do you want that Super-sized?)

What are you guys talking about. Good Question was the best thing to come out of Paisley Park. The album was good funky dance music. I wish Prince would have kept these songs for himself. It was much better than Lovesexy IMHO

Dont get it twisted? Being on Paisley Park didnt make him a protege. Prince had no input on that Good Question project - which is why is is easily the lamest thing to come from the Park ever!

Were there any other Paisley Park artist or albums that Prince had no input?

I think the Tony Lemans debut album (released in 1989) had no Prince involvement, but I could be wrong.

George Clinton's first Paisley Park album had no Prince tracks on it. Prince just remixed one of the singles.

"gotta new love" had a cracking 12" remix. I liked the last track "one more time" too. It sounds very madonna mind u.
