I'd be happy to loan it to the EMP... but eventually, I'd want it back, and I probably would play it after replacing the drum heads and putting the old ones away for safekeeping. ("This kit has been kept in road cases since it was last used with Prince" suggests that it still has heads from the Lovesexy tour.) Playing around with it in the home isn't going to hurt it much, especially since it's not going to be in mint condition after two tours.

Alas, the bidding is almost at $6K, the reserve hasn't been met, and there are still five days left for bidding. I guess I'll have to be content with my souvenirs from the Musicology tour:

$10,000+ for a used drum kit? Now if it were Prince's bathtub or something at that price... then we're talkin'.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

$10k was the reserve for this. I think its still a good price considering what its been used for. I could see this ending up in a Hard Rock somewhere.
