Wendy & Lisa Satisfaction Yep nearly 2 decades on and I was listening to this fantastic track! i'd forgotten how good it was. Brings up the oft repeated question, what would Prince albums have been like if he had continued to produce some tracks with W&L. I suspect the "satisfaction " (sorry!!) level might have been a bit higher through the 90s and perhaps he suspects the same! http://confidentchanges.wordpress.com/

Now all those Wendy & Lisa haters will come again out of their holes and they will whine about how overrated W+L are and that Prince was far better off without them and so on. We had this so often before. lol! ok point taken, but for the record W&L are underrated and really would give Prince a hit again er..... just ask Gwen Stefani http://confidentchanges.wordpress.com/

satisfaction is 1 of the better Wendy & Lisa songs, & Jesse's background singing definitely adds something to it.

in fact, I think the whole fruit at the bottom album is good - except, ironically, for the title track. its interesting, i find that fans of prince's like this album the most while fans of wendy and lisa enjoy it the least. this was my first album i purchased of theirs. I think Satisfaction is their most prince like song...But my favorite song from that album is "Everyday". An underrated funk track. Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

question: is that jesse ad-libing at the end of the song? or is it wendy? Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I really like fruit at the bottom as an album (as a whole), but clearly, to me, EROICA is BY FAR the BEST Wendy & Lisa album - by their 3rd album, they had honed in on the "Wendy & Lisa" sound, a perfect mix of pop, funk & rock.

as for the "ad-libbing" at the end of satisfaction - I have no idea. to me, it sounds like Wendy because it's a "simple" riff. I am NOT taking a shot at Wendy as a guitar player, but (if it's the riff I think you're talking about) that riff.. Jesse could do in his sleep! no no, the vocals.. do you mean the "hey hey hey yeah" vocal improv?? other than the girls repeating "satisfaction" & 1 last chorus, that's the only "vocal" I hear after "how 'bout it Jesse?".. yeah, that part.....come to think of it i dont know what is beng mumbled....never thought of it till now..something like; "humaluma dulasight....gonna get my lover...hey hey yeahh ehhh heeee". What was their last hit? Wendy is playing on the number one album in the country right now, and an album that wasn't given away at the concerts no less "I'll take everything I want, I'll take everything you've got, I'll take everything but you" Wendy and Lisa

I didnt say helping him was laughable - I said giving him a hit was laughable. Nobody can give Prince a hit. He used to give other people hits. Wendy and Lisa just dont have it like that. But to stay make people happy - "Wendy and Lisa are the greatest thing to happened in Prince's career and he would not be where he is now if he had not hired them". How's that?
