NBC to Rebroadcast 11/06/1985-Sheila E. SNL Appearance

According to the info guide of my satelitte receiver, and rockontv.com , Sheila E.'s 1985 Saturday Night Live appearance will be rebroadcast this coming Sunday morning (12/12/04).

This isn't during the regular broadcast time of SNL... this is later, usually around 1 am or so... check your local listings.

Some songs on The Black Album were originally written as dance songs for Sheila's birthday party back in '87. That's how it started. Cool, eh?

Really? Wow. that is cool. Where does this info come from?

And I'm still convinced that "Frankie" as in "Serve it up" is an alter ego of sorts for Sheila.

I think one of the band members (Eric Leeds? or Matt Fink?) said it in the following documentary:

And I think u may b right on the "Frankie" reference. cool

The date is a typo..... I just went back to look at the calendar, cuz I remember it was on my birthday.... It was 11/16/05... not 11/06.... cuz at midnight it was 11/17/05 my birthday.

Nov 6 was actually a Wednesday.

Not to be anal or anything smile

It was on 3 am so I had to tape it.

Just watched Holly Rock. I think they switched the order of the performances though. I kinda remember Holly Rock being on first, then Love Bizarre.... but it was the other way around this time.

It's possible I'm remembering wrong but I dont' think so.

I taped and watched it. She was trying so hard to be the female Prince back then. And didn't make the cut. She is a MUCH MUCH stronger performer today than she was then. Can't believe I'm not at her show RIGHT NOW!!!!!

I've noticed re-arranged SNL shows myself, especially when they re-run them on the Comedy Channel -- they have to fit an hour-and-half show into one hour.
