Sheila E.- Koo Koo

I just listened 2 it and I'm loving it. Do you remember this song from her 1987 self-titled album? Those drum samples sound good.

Sure is. The song sounds like a Sign 'O' The Time outtake to me.

i wish i could find this CD for a reasonable price... UGH. it's the only Sheila E CD i don't have. i have the cassette, and its a great album, but the $$ that it's going for on eBay is ridiculous.

yeah that song rocks!!!

they're not drum samples, though, it's the LM-1 drum machine.

This song sounded more like it was related to Kiss to me.

The live version played during one of the Sign O the Times shows was AWESOME. This video got a lot of play back in the day, I'm surprised the song didn't do better than it did.

Really? I never knew Prince played it live. Is this a show that is recorded somewhere, or you actually attended? And did Sheila sing it and/or play drums for it? The tradck is so Linn driven I could see them using the drum machine and coming up to the front like they did for Forever In My Life.

They played it live 5/20/87 in Hallenstadion, Zurich,Swtizerland. They played it between Slow Love and ICNTTPOYM, I wish I would have seen it, I've just heard it but it sounded awesome so I'm not sure if Sheila came out front or what but she sang lead.

The video is kind of cheesy and low budget. The choreography is how shall I put it.....BAD! But it all comes together into somewhat of a Pretty Mess.

Yeah, Cat and Sheila kind of mirror each other throughout the video. Sheila had no excuse at the time as far as choreography goes. I mean she's from the bay area! Come on. We're pretty hip to new dances. Prince has always been at least 5-6 years behind. The world is still cabbage patching for god's sakes, and doing it wrong.

They both had the SOTT hairdoes. You know, ribbons and beads in messy hair. Not my favorite look.

I think the video was awesome! C'mon it's Sheila E the musician supreme not fricking Britney Spears who cares if she's dancing. I think she looked HOT doing the moves that she did do and I used to wear this video out. Did you see the video when it first came out or years after???

I believe I saw it a couple of years later. Don't get me wrong I like the video but to me it was kind of cheesy. I respect your opinion though.

Great song and video. Sounds like nothing on the album though. To me it sounds like a LoveSexy outtake.
