lol they had a site about this.....mary jane girls for the voices...and vanity 6 for the sexy...mmm could u imagine if they had the voices of the mjg and the bodies of v6...good gawd! Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...

Lets be real shall we? Vanity alone is 10x hotter than any one of the Mary Jane Girls on her worst day, (well at least back then) but the Mary Jane Girls absolutely crush Vanity 6 musically. | |

ok THEY (MJG) can sing is an overstatement considering JoJo Mc???? whatever her name was,is the only one that had a voice....by all means I am not hating,MJG were some bad-ass chicks I would say they were more funkier then V6...but I can't just help but love the cheesiness/sleaziness of Vanity 6. I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.

Vanity 6 was definitely better. They had the better looking chicks AND good songs | |

Vanity 6 was fun,outrageous and extremely sexy.Their debut album is a guilty pleasure....sleazy yet irresistible.Musically,it was all over the place....steamy funk ("Nasty Funk"),catchy New Wave ("Bite The Beat"),electro-funk ("Make Up),even a rap-inspired track ("If A Girl Answers").
The Mary Jane Girls were also fun and sexy,but they weren't really sleazy or dirty.And let's face it....they had better voices,and they were able to handle ballads (by comparison,Vanity 6's attempt at a ballad ("3X2=6") is unlistenable).Musically,they were more R&B/funk,although "Jealousy" has a wonderful New Wave vibe. so,let's just call it a tie. | |
