One has a Prince funk sound, the other, a Jesse funk sound. As much as I love Jesse, I think I have to go for the Paisley Park release by a narrow margin.

BrownMArk production vs. Jesse production. Gotta go with BrownMark by a narrow margin. I think Mazarati's album was the best thing that came out of Paisley Park aside from some of Prince's work. Total Funk-Rock workout! Da Krash was pretty tight, too. Tu Madre was slammin'; Trapped In Phases, Wasn't I Good To Ya. Both records are more than worth owning.

Please tell me about Da Krash. I love Jesse, and thought his solo effort was great, but somehow missed Da Krash....

Rhastus

Mazarati easily
The dakrash album has a few good songs( the ones that you can obviously hear Jesse on), but the mazarat album is solid all the way through

I've been sold on Jesse since I The Time on tour in the Triple Treat Tour and have
NEVER bet against "Mr Pink"! I just pulled out my cassettes(yes cassettes!!!) for DaKrash and
Mazarati...In terms of songwriting, production, playlist...I have to give it to
BrownMark.
Except for "Dance with me" and "Tu Madre", most of the songs seemed as if they
were left over from a Jesse album.
BrownMark just put together something really strong and focused!!!
