Kewl article. I don't remember hearing about Ms. Andersons passing, that's sad...
Don't ya'll just love it how TC Ellis never misses an oppertunity to mention his connection with Prince? Quite amazing. Especially since his connections (Grafitti Bridge and True Confesions) are not exactly fan favorites...

I still have my old Grandmaster Flash and the furious five album somewhere. It was 82/83. We had it playing during warm ups in our high school basketball games. lol.

Wasn't long after that Prince blew up all over.

ahh 8th grade. asymetrical hair styles and huge door knocker gold earrings like mc lyte. adidas jogging suits, breakdancing. there was always gangbangin' but dancin rappin and the dj was the sh-- classic rap -they battled and that was it no fighting or killing. i love articles like these. anybody know where roxanne or mc shante is at now? grandmaster flash and the sugerhill gang was on the bet awards awhile back. a while back i went to a concert at the vic theater in chicago for 5 bucks and saw slick rick and kanye west and they also had a dj competition it was music headbang slick rick was so good his flow was bad and his english accent was ever present.
