In Honor of Baltimore: PEACE on the Org Sunday May 10th

Alot has been said lately about all the negativity on the Org.

Personally I have been on the Org for a very long time and I've seen all sorts of people come and go. I tend to overlook alot of the negativity and try to just focus on all the great comments, sharing and insight each of you bring into the cool, funky, whacky, wild, confusing, confounding, amazing world of Prince.

When I was first a Prince fan I always yearned to share in my excitement for his music and the unique artist he truly is. Thankfully Ben and the Org have made that possible. I've truly enjoyed all the years of being able to share and connect with other people that also dig P's music for whatever reasons. For me sharing in all those experiences is what the Org is all about.

Whatever the reasons. His music has brought us together. Let us celebrate in that and all that is intended for Sunday's Rally 4 Peace in Baltimore by doing the same thing on the Org.

I challenge each and everyone of us to go an entire day on the Org with NO negative or mean-spirited comments on Sunday May 10th in honor of Rally 4 Peace.

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

I'm all for it. For one day: no trolling, disparaging remarks about Prince and members of the ORG and hostility aimed at anyone.

Uh-huh. And who gets to decide what is "disparaging" and what is honest, well-intentioned criticism?

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

This is what I was going to say. Although the idea itself is well intentioned and all, art is and always will be no matter what day of the year it is, open to judgement. I will agree that the negativity here can get tiring at times, but I don't think the poster's intentions are 'better go give my daily dose of Prince disparagement to the internet, lmao!'. It's just people criticising Prince. Some posters (not naming names) are worse for the negativity than others, but really, in what they say half of the time there is a nugget of truth that nobody else wants to address in case of causing arguements with the people on here, (not naming names) that refuse to acknowledge hard facts about Prince because they honestly believe he is Jesus' reincarnate.
