An idea to protect the Org from legal issues

Why not relocating the website to India or such a country who doesn't give a fuck about copyright laws?

Just relocate the site's main server, find a fan you trust from such a country (or any friend you might have there) who will claim to be the legal owner of the website, and both Ben and the mods will be 100% protected from legal threats and we can post whatever video or bootlegs we want. Prince's lawyers contact you? You just tell 'em "Sorry dudes, we don't own this website anymore, it now belongs to this guy in [country] and the server's IP is this so you can check it ain't in the USA, so please send your cease and desist to this guy in this country, here's his email address" and the guy can tell them "Yeah they're right, i now own the site, so just come & sue me if you can!". Even though US citizens USED to own the site, they cannot be considered responsible for what happens to the site if someone else NOW legally owns it and if the server's IP proves it. You can be a moderator on an Indian website and live in the USA, but as long as you don't OWN the website, i guess you cannot be subject to prosecution 4 what's going on on said website (well maybe you could if it was about, say, child pornography, but that's not what we're talking about here.)

I'm really serious about it. There are still many countries who just consider that western copyright issues aren't their problem. Indian government for exemple authorizes generic medication of copyrighted molecules to be produced and sold on their territory, and they just told an official "go to hell" to US and European labs. And though it's not officially sanctionned as with meds, you can buy pirate copies of anything (including local Bollywood material) in shops and there's never been a single trial there about this as far as i know. Indian people just laugh out loud when you address this problem and ask them "is that ok to sell this?".

Just think about it. That could be the end of ALL troubles for the Org.

In theory. But this thread itself would now constitute proof of knowingly trying to circumnavigate international copyright law if it were to come to pass. Which in essence makes the idea mute.

Copyright is an illusion.

Copying is my right.

Anybody saying otherwise is looking at stuff from the wrong direction.

Aside from that:

Just host the servers in Iceland.

Powered using Icelandic geo-thermal energy.

Emphasize on the news and discussion content to be under their protection for journalistic content.

No, the org must not start to run a tracker (obsolete technology anyway) or change anything else.

Just relocate and it will be a whole lot better.

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

You're kidding, right? lol

If not:

1. There is no such language as "Indian". There's Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. Hindi is the most widely spoken. There's smaller regional languages like Telugu and Tamil as well.

2. Just because a site is hosted somewhere doesn't mean that site has to be written in the language of that country!!!

lol lol
