SHUT UP ALREADY.........DAMN

Soap Operas are real FUNNY. Meaning, I could tune in to one after 2 years of not watching them and you could pick up right where U left off. This site is the EPITOME of a SOAP OPERA!!!!!!! First, I do acknowledge that this site gives us ALL a platform to be heard. We voice our opinions, aurguments, fantasies, rants and otherwise. But most of you here are QUITE RIDICULOUS! I haven't bought a Prince CD in quite some time. In my case, Linus finally gave up his blanket. To this day I respect his musicianship and CREATIVITY and not to mention SURVIVING the INDUSTRY over 30 YEARS. The question is........Why do we want to keep Prince locked in a time PERIOD musically. Why do we continue to expect that everything he does to be comparable to PURPLE RAIN or any thing else he's done that was CONSIDERED a COMMERCIAL success or otherwise.

Prince one said in a Larry King interview, " U pretty much come to the party for the music. If I give something to you, that's different. If there's something else you seek then there's something in U THAT'S LACKING" Remember, he is an artist that's at a point in his career like STEVIE WONDER he can do what ever he chooses. If he BELCHED on a record......you would still buy it because it's PRINCE. I have my own OPINIONS and they are best kept to myself, because it can never DISCREDIT what he's accomplished in this LIFETIME. Not only did Prince define a DECADE, he influenced the PLANET. If U don't like his music, U are entitled to your opinion. But it makes it much HARDER 4 others to APPRECIATE the MAN behind the MUSIC when U strive for mere opinions to be FACTUAL.

I don't need to state his ACCOMPLISHMENTS, that's obvious : ) I don't agree with everything he's done. But there comes a point where U have to acknowledge NONSENSE and that's what a lot of you bring HERE! A Lot of us are STILL mourning the death of MICHALE and a lot of it has to deal with GUILT. Because we KICKED michale when he was down (especially black people and I AM AFRICAN AMERICAN or whatever society chooses to call us this year). Don't wait til someone is gone to give them the R-E-S-P-E-C-T that they deserve. Give it to them while THEY ARE STILL HERE.

Being a FAN dosen't mean that you agree with everything. It simply means U AGREE to DISAGREE and respect the other perspective.

some of yall REALLY need to get a LIFE : )

Peace

Says the person pontificating on Prince's career without having about a Prince CD "in quite some time". Bait, flaming, and contradictory in nature.
