JUST SOME MINOR TWEAK IDEAS

OK, I love the org. I mean, I luuuuurve the org.
It's a site that has long ago transcended it's implicit mission statement--namely, unbiased news and discussion of the one I shall not mention.

The General Discussion forum has always eclipsed those of other fansites for other artist as well as other sites devoted to Prince. The banter on this org's general discussion forum is just off the hook. You don't believe me, go to housequake.com and read their boring ass General Discussion forum--oh wait, nevermind. It's been shut down by the one we shall not mention.



But one of the problems I have with the org is that the interface is 'wordy'. And for good reason--fools are STILL posting videos and requests for bootlegs despite the fact that this could possibly be the most aggressive site I've ever seen at discouraging and dealing with such violations. Bravo, mods

I think alot of this is due to the interface being so word. Folks just ignore all the stuff and I'm suspecting alot of folks aren't really native English speakers to begin with.



So, this is strictly in excercise in 'ideas'---this is not meant as a harmful or mean spirited critique of a website I have come to adore over the years.



So here's some asthetic 'changes' I'm pondering:





By removing some of the color, and streamlining the content into tables, it makes them less confusing to the eye--and even though you'd have to use small fonts, the overall effect is still easier to read.



Also, the vast majority of the times any of the warnings are needed is during the actual posting of content. So why not just move the warnings to the interface that the posts take place? It makes sense I think.







Lastly, 100 pixel icons are no longer the major bandwidth concern they used to be. And the benefit of those compared to our current 64x64 pixel are obvious below:

I like the idea. A lot. Now if Imago would pick a fucking avatar and stick with it, the org would be a happier place. I think the boobie pic would be the one to make permanent.
