Any Quakers present?

Hi you guys!

I am looking for Quakers that have choosen the org. to continue discussing stuff now HQ is down for the moment.

I know there must be lots of you guys here already, but probably under different nicknames and avatars.

Where are you ... Kostas, Cateto, Modernaire, Discplay ... just to mention a few?

It would be nice to discuss the recent developpings ...

I'm sorry 'P' - I had no idea you were this anal (actually...) I promise not to try and promote your 'new' site with an 'inspired by' piece of artwork. Anyway, It would be pretty difficult to replicate that black screen - you've really gone to town on that!

Nevertheless, even though Aaron was probably so fed up with what's happening, he could have dropped a pm or other message about his plans. Of course, it's his baby, but a 'warning' would have been nice. There are many people on HQ I have quite close contact with, but I can't reach them anymore because I don't have their private e-mail. I wish we would have been informed about his plans, so I could pack my stuff before leaving HQ, know what I mean? Shame... Maybe he's reconsidering to re-open HQ again, hence the 'until further notice'...

hey...it's not ur fault, don't blame this on urself at all? U just tried 2 create some nice artwork...and u did, not knowing that it would b seen as controversial. I tried 2 say somehting about it in the HQ thread already as I knew HQ isn't allowed 2 use the symbol image. But then the Godmod said it wasn't a real Prince symbol and the header u created was used as official HQ header. Unfortunately it did lead 2 Aaron shutting down his website...I understand his decision though and respect it as well. HQ was nice enough 2 use the banners they were given 2 promote the new official website. So why can't HQ have a header with a slight hint indicating it's a Prince forum?

Yeah, I know it's not actually my fault - I just feel sorry for Aaron. He's put so much effort into HQ and had to deal with so much shit from P - I think the request to take down the header was just the last straw for him.

If I'd photoshoped P raping a dog then I could fully understand P being offended, but it was just supposed to be a nice little way of generating a bit of collective excitement about P's new site.

I sourced all new imagery and used a modified version of the symbol (which didn't start out as his logo anyway!) The excuse that P used of not wanting the site to be perceived as 'official' is ludicrous - the people who visit HQ are under no illusion as to how much P hates the site and free speech in general, so there was no way they were going to think HQ was suddenly under the management of the Paisley Police and had become P's second home.

^Turnitup does the communication with the Prince camp so I'll leave it to him what to bring out in the open and what not. Anyway, Aaron was fed up with it for a while already and this was the straw (or drop as we say ). You just did some work to make your website look nicer and bang, the next day a request to remove it. Yup, I'm around here and on fams; though perhaps mostly in spirit as probably won't decide on a new home yet as I'm still hopeful that HQ will return in one capacity or another at some point when the dust has settled.

In the meantime, does anyone know how to set the time to your local timezone?

I am here as well, but miss the way the threads were set up at HQ.
I really liked Prince in History and teh Prince Live in Concert threads.

There was so much information on HQ, that will never be on teh Org (I guess) ..

Hope it will return soon, one way or another, with or without banners, headers etc.

Let's hope for some kind of consideration from the Prince camp,instead of being attacked for every silly thing from him...

Yups im here too. Missing the Quake but I do respect Aaron's decision. Any chance of someone taking over the site? Shame for all those nice threads and other info...

The info from the resource guide is safe. Don't worry about that. But if and how it will return I know as much as you do. (so nothing at the moment.)

Sadly I was right with my opinion about the header, it DID lead 2 problems. If HQ had not used it we would still b able 2 enjoy the website u were moderating. Unless there's other issues/facts I dunno about which would have given Aarom reasons 2 shut it down...

[I feel for you guys not having your "home-site", it sucks. I hope you are feeling welcome here and that you know we are here for you. When the org was down several years ago... Ok, does anyone know (this is mainly directed at the HQ Mods) which of the following is the most likely outcome:

1) HQ is down for good and won't be resurrected

2) Elements of HQ (Prince Guide, Recording info etc.) will be transferred to a completely new site

3) HQ will return but under new ownership

4) HQ will return as it was with Aaron still at the helm

Now I'm guessing that No.4 isn't on the cards as Aaron has just had enough of P's shit (and like I've said before, who can blame him - he's a saint to have put up with it for this long) but if it's at all possibly to give us an indication of where things are heading it would be much appreciated.
