my org bug... i can go to last post read but then it doesn't reset the marker in my org
but just for a handful of threads lol and then i go looking to see if there had been a new post but there hasn't also it seems if i have gone to the thread from the forum instead of from my org then it doesn't remember what thread i have read last. and yes, it was while logged in and not lurking just minor things but i thought i would mention it

it does that to me, but it seems like it's only on the "POST A PIC (AGAIN)" thread.

yeah that one was one of the offending threads for me too until i posted on it again...
now it's new here how long have you been on the org who is your favorite non actor actor my fiance's mother all of which my posts are older than 32 hours... guessing if i posted on them again the bug would be gone just like the picture thread one

it's not a bug, it's the new ORG design. the ORG now has numbered pages for each thread. check at the bottom of the thread and when you click on the last page you'll go to the end of the thread, where you'll see your post.
at first it fooled me too on the POST PIC thread. but the change is great, the pages load up faster now as usual, the ORG Gods are merciful and kind

Founder | On the my page, where it lists the threads you posted on, the first link (the name of the thread) always takes you to the beginning (first page) of the thread. The 'YES' link (if there's new posts), takes you to the post just after your last one (that's the theory). Even if it's not on the first page.
At least, that's how it's supposed to work. Let me know if it doesn't. ben -- "the prince.org guy" |

sometimes the "yes" will take me to a number of posts previous to what i have last read
for instance the "favorite non actor actor" thread the yes always kept taking me to stax's posts about the middle of the thread at one time those were the last ones i had read - but the marker obviously hadn't reset i posted on that thread again to see if it would reset by moving the thread up the list and it has. someone just posted on it now and when i came back to my org the post marker had been reset. sometimes the yes will take me to the last page except there are in fact no new posts since i last looked and yes, i did ensure that i was in fact on the last page and looking at the last posted reply

i've discovered that if you click on all the pages in the thread it resets itself. kind of a pain, but i'm just too anal to leave the My Org page with threads unvisited.
yes, i know i have a problem.

and here i thought we were just special fantasy well, i don't know. i have my page threshold set at the max, and i still had to do that to get my org to reset. but maybe knowing that will help ben figure out the bug??

apparently we are just especially anal ok so that worked but it was a pain in the ass i am already used to the quicker thread loading times and was impatient with those big ass threads loading just so i could clear it off the my org page

i've been playing around changing the threshold from 100 to 75 to 50... i find the 200 is just too darn long to go through for those big threads i've just reset it to 75

Founder | Well, there was definitely a bug about if you revisited a thread you were tracking in my org, it would reset the "new posts" notice to no new posts, even if you only read a couple of pages, and never got to the last page. That's now fixed.
Remember, my org only tracks threads you've actually posted on. ben -- "the prince.org guy" |

Remember, my org only tracks threads you've actually posted on. i'm kinda confused... but whatever! it seems to work now!! an entirely different issue... i have also found that the "last post" icon on the actual forum page doesn't always take you to the last post - but rather somewhere in the middle of the thread. should have tried it out first edit [Edited 3/19/06 18:13pm]
