Minneapolis PRINCE tours.

Hi there! Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations on the best Prince tour to go on when visiting Minneapolis? I'm planning on going in May 2018 and obviously wanna take in Paisley Park, plus a trip that takes me to the other landmarks etc (I want to see inside First Avenue). Any tips on this will be gratefully recieved when booking my holiday from the UK. A dream come true....Pity it wasn't in better circumstances, mind you.

If you use the Search box in the upper right corner, where it says "Google Custom Search", and search for terms like "visiting Minneapolis" or whatever, there have been long, extensive & detailed threads (even this year) about sites to see in Minneapolis, where to go, how to get there, etc. Tons of information that you will, no doubt, find useful for your pending travels.

I rented a car and did everything myself. I found a map of sites and also found reference to the famous Lake Minnetonka location as well. That was super creepy doing it alone but I'm glad I did. I got TONS of photos and went out really early in the morning (left my hotel around 730AM on a Sunday) so I was able to drive to places quickly and didn't disturb homeowners (childhood home, Andre's house) Purple Rain house is vacant but still didn't disturb the neighbors around. If you're interested in a self-tour let me know. I can give you all my addresses and you can google map it before you leave for the best/quickest route.

Thank you for the kind offer.

All these places are listed on Minneapolis' website as part of a subsection of the link I posted earlier. On the page http://www.minneapolis.or...nneapolis/ , you will find a PDF "A tour of Prince's Minneapolis" with all the sites.

There are 2 purple links at the top of the page:

- 1 to DOWNLOAD the PDF -> http://cdn.minneapolis.or...tour_2.pdf

- a second link to open GOOGLE MAP with all the sites marked by purple stars -> https://www.google.com/ma...5&z=12

I went to see a couple of murals as well but you can easily google those and add them to your self-tour.
