right. the YouTube clip of the first people. i got the impression the atrium and urn are right inside, or close to the front door..

Aren't they afraid someone might snatch the urn... neutral

i love that prince is at home in Paisley Park, but would prefer he be privately interred somewhere respectfully, like in his living quarters, overlooking his lawn or something.

having the elevator and remains side by side and on display? seems like it will be hard for fans to process. actually i'm surprised the elevator is even still there.

i thought i'd read that they put up a wall in front of the entrance or something
so that you couldn't see it or enter it anymore?

PLEASE let us not forget that Prince sent his friends and family DETAILED instructions regarding how he wanted things to be done in PP once it was turned into a museum.

.

I wouldn't be at ALL surprised to learn he wanted his ashes there, in a mini Paisley Park - he wanted to be in his home, with his fans (fams); he said as much - that he wanted everyone to come to his home, where he could be with them. He loved that place; he loved the whole idea of sharing his home and his love with all of us.

.

Given everything he said and did in recent times, I think relegating him to a cupboard in a relative's back room would be the LAST thing he would want. I have every reason to believe that him 'greeting' his guests in the atrium would be EXACTLY what he would want!

.

They said they built a wall in front of the elevator and now it is covered with all 88 tickets from the Musicology Tour and other pictures.

It sounds like his family wanted his ashes to be at Paisley. Without a will, we have to defer to them on that decision.

Can someone tell me the difference between the VIP and the GA tour? I'm pissed because I had VIP tickets for Oct 12 and I can't get any for Oct 14th.

Wasn't the purple lighting used when Prince was home? I wonder if they will now turn on the purple lighting every night since he is there.

So no reports yet (other than the urn)? Star Tribune reporter claims fans are giving raves but I'd love to hear a first hand account. I won't be going there until next year.

As upsetting as it is, I think if that's what Prince wanted we should respect his wishes. The fact that he knew he was dying for 2 years has upset more than his urn being at PP. That news was heartbreaking and difficult to process. I think if Prince wanted them there they should at least put them behind a glass door for people who want to see. If you don't want to see then you can walk by. Also, that way nobody could take them.

I think it would bring me to my knees. I can't/won't process the urn yet.

nooooo fck its painful just thinking about it -

Uh, this is actually quite shocking news to me. I'm beyond shocked, Iim flabbergasted. This is totally WRONG WRONG WRONG!!! His remains DO NOT belong on display for the paying public to see ina a museum--even if it is PP. My opinion of Tyka now is lower than dirt. Prince deserves more than that. Even Elvis' family had the dignity to put his remains somewhere besides Graceland. Not in a display case. disbelief hrmph mad sad

-- You know Tyka is not running the museum.

wonderboy

He's home, it's fitting that he be there. Urns ending up in someone's closet or in storage is what is disgracefull. I'm sure they've done something that is respectful to his legacy. I'm happy that he's returned to where he was comfortable, uniquely his and an outward expression of the inward genius we all loved.

The fact that he told his sister two years ago that his time on earth was done..how do you want me to word it? She knew two years ago he was living on borrowed time. He told her.

It isn't that Paisley Park is the problem--it's where he been placed in PP that's the problem...

I've tried. I've tried. I SWEAR I'VE TRIED! But... I. JUST. FUCKING. CAN'T!!! Neither my heart nor my brain is believing any of this bullshit...AT ALL!!!

Prince suddenly up and dies, all alone in an elevator. There are mystery people, shady doctors, drugs, an instant cremation. There's no will nor trust with Prince's specific wishes anywhere with anyone to be found. Random assholes claiming to be his offspring and shiesty lawyers crawling out of the woodwork. Rumors and inconsistencies run amok. And now his home is being overrun by tourists and his remains are on display in a disturbing pay-per-view basis.

It's like I'm trapped in my worst nightmare and I simply can't wake the fuck up! fit

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Paisley Park had better pay attention and move Prince's remains to a more appropriate and respectful place,

When I go I can tell you I will be in tears.

I will give a full report - I had a VIP but because of the date changes, I couldn't get another VIP. So, will let you know what General Admission consist of. She didn't mention the stage area so she probably only saw some of the studio. She didn't mention the purple room either with the Oscar.
