I know I missed them when they were here last time, it was snowing, and I live in the boondocks and wasn't able to make it out. However, I work right up the block from this place so I'm sure I'll be heading there. (Plus Sheila E is my girl crush...) I know someone here (A few of you I think) have my number. If I can arrange a babysitter I will get a babysitter and be there. Been too long since I've done something Prince related.

Oh that's wonderful! Maybe all of us can meet beforehand or something... dunno if you guys were planning to get a table at BB Kings tho. Not sure if they're doing the tables for this one or whut.

BB Kings does have tables but it's cabaret seating. You might end up sitting with strangers if all of your group isn't there at the time of seating. Doors open at 6pm. $10 minimum for seated guests. I'd recommend eating or drinking there since you'd have to anyway before the show. The food isn't bad either.

Our group has made plans to sit together.

I like the food at BBK, but I was disappointed when they took catfish fingers off the menu.

I've eaten there before with a group doing the tables thing. I just think it sort of ruins the whole vibe of a live show. But they do it because it's more lucrative for them to get folks to pay for not only the ticket but the table minimum as well.

I'm cool with it, tho, it's freaking Sheila E!!!!!!!!

I guess it depends on who you sit with. I've been with people who were not friendly, sitting there like they were at a funeral. I've also met some really cool people and we jammed together all night.

I don't mind the food, either. It helps eliminate the "Where are we going to meet/eat before the show" BS.

For that price, and that size venue, it's a bargain. I'm working on getting the day off.
