On a last minute decision, Funkteer, myself and my friend Miles went to the show on the 30th. It has got to be one of the best shows ever. They played nothing but Prince/Prince related music....America, Gett Off, Sexy MF, Sign O the Times, Wild and Loose, DMSR, Musicology, Let's Work...Even though we didn't do our usual pre-show dinner the three of us had a fabulous time and the guys in the band, the owner Paul and the bouncer, Kelly were super glad to see us.

Thanks again guys for a great time. Thank Miles and Amalia for the joining me for a late night adventure. Until next time.

We had a great time, for sure! The place was packed, and a lot of folk were feeling the funk, and they were dancing. I am glad we decided, last minute to go. Thanks Kelly and Miles.

OMG!!! The last two nights have been OFF THE CHAIN.

The boat ride was beyond fabulous. The guys had us moving and grooving even through many rocky moments. The music was fabulous, the people were sexy and the vibe was wonderful. The post-boat ride/regular Thursday night gig at the Red Lion was a little mellower, and a number of people coming to sit in, but the guys were just as funky as ever.

Friday night's show at the Bitter End was full of unexpected moments. Starting on time being the first, which left Guy and Tak and Shu the only ones on stage, but before the night was over the stage was full, people were on their feet dancing (ok I was standing on a chair, shaking everything my mama gave me), and people were feeling the F-U-N-K!

To all of you Orgers in the NJ/NY area: Come and check out a show, you will definitely not be disappointed!

To all of you Orgers in other areas of the US and outside the USA: If you are planning a trip to NYC, come and check out the Days of Wild and meetup with us NY Orgers.

Look out for some really great events coming up in the next few months and even next year.

I am just getting home (at 5:30 in the morning) from the Saturday Night DOW gig at the Dinosaur BBQ and I had to tell you all that the show was completely BANANAS. In fact, we declared that the entire weekend was absolutely positively INSANE. Each show the guys were knocking it outta the park.

Since this show was at a restaurant, I took my son with me because I wanted him to experience the funk live after listening to their CDs. Sitting in with the guys (Stephane, Guy, Fritz, Tak and Sandro) was TANYA MICHELLE and ALISSA B and could these ladies blow. I am so blown away by the evening (and the delicious food) I can't properly explain it.

Let me repeat again, you have to come and check them out. I am going to pass out now and when I return to the land of the living I will happily post pics.

Devoted Puppy and I had a marvelous time. The guys were tight with, Stephane on the mic, Papa Guyo on the drums and piano, Tak on the bass, Swang on the keys, drums and mic, Alissa B on the mic and percussions, Sandro on the trombone, Daffy Duck on the piano, keys and mic, and Shuji on the guitar. Last night was Shuji's last night before returning home to Japan. "Good-bye Shuji, it was really nice meeting you. I hope that you had a great time sitting in with the guys and will come back one day to visit again." There was also a bevy guest players, including the infamous Tony (biker guy for those that don't know his name), who got on the mic and ended the night for us all by tearing up "Born to be Wild."

Sorry, I was sooooo tired yesterday, my brain was barely functioning. I've already bought my costume, but no hints of what I am going to be until the big day. LOL. Get dressed up and come and join us. More details will follow of the full plans, but the Bitter End will definitely be decked out to celebrate the day.

Ok, after way too much family drama last weekend I really need to kick back and relax this Friday. It may be difficult for me to do it with a sling on one arm and a brace on the other, but I am planning on kicking back and cutting loose as much as possible. Who's game?

I know we have an outta towner from Chicago joining us this weekend, an outta towner from Switzerland joining us for the second time on the 24th and an outta towner from the UK the weekend of Halloween. Catch the guys while you can because they will be taking a bit of a break after the November 1st show. Keep your eyes opened because I will be having news of more DOW gigs, solo projects and other Prince cover bands in the very near future.
