WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!

My head is still spinning but I'll try to make some sense here...

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone involved behind the scenes (they know who they are) for their help into making this event the best and most successful one we've ever staged. The boat party was a personal dream of mine – thank you for making this dream real.

Thanks to the best Prince DJ’s in the world - Unique, Le Freak and ‘Dre for keeping the party rockin’ with the purple funk.

Thanks to Paddy and the rest of ENDORPHINMACHINE who put on such an incredible show. Got most of it down on video and will be sending you a copy soon.

Thanks also to Nathan Persad : The International Lover for his contribution to the night.

Thanks to the manager and staff of The Bear + the captain and the crew members of the boat for their help and patience.

Thanks to co-organiser Mike for your valuable help and advice - and for not ending up legless

Thanks to each and every one of YOU who came along, had such a great time and made the whole weekender something very special and memorable. Everyone I spoke to had a blast! Thank you all for your support. Any pics you have of the event please post them here.

Last (but not least), thank you Prince for providing the soundtrack to our lives. We wish you well on the 50th year of your birth.

Whooooo what a great weekend!!!! I think i've only just recovered enough to to type.

Thanks to all those who organised it.... the view around london at night on the boat was amazing.... Oh oh oh and passing the O2!!! & the candle.... great momento to take home, now sitting with my tambourine

The friday at the bear was a blast.... i've not danced (or what i pass as dancing lol) for ages!!! Thank you to the orger who i kept checking that my shoes were still there!!!

Great to see all the orgers i've met and again some new ones, mentalist.... your a star!!! Dave T, Jenny, Ali, Tiger,Nicole, Lalala..The surrey lasses, who's names i've forgotten... the hat lady who let me & my nephew pose!!! God so many of you, if ive forgotten anyone i met sorrrryyyy i've got short term memory...and yes if theres a next time we gotta wear our org names... i bet there were many there ive chatted to but didn't know...

I hope there's another next year!!


P.s did anyone know all the answers to the quiz that was given out??? Come on you all know you wanna know the answers..... someone post it!!!!! I'm stuck on a couple

Hello everyone!

Had a fantastic time on friday and saturday. The boat party just ended way toooo quickly! I still had a good few hours left in me by the time it had finished.

Thank you for posting a picture of me Heidi and reliving my binocular story again with me , I finally made it on the Org. My head is at a really strange angle though!!!!! I'm sure we must have just hi a wave before hand!!!!!



And the Prince Albert necklace CJanssen - Ah, well - a few years back I went through an alternative/cyberpunk phase and used to be quite heavily pierced. Nearly 30 just in my face and ears alone!!!!! I wont go into all the body parts.


Anyway, all good fun. It got me into Vogue photographed by Mario Testino so all good for me!!!!

Just a shame I got hit by a bus on holiday afew years back and the casualty department stripped em all out!!!!! Oh well!!! Not dead yet!!!

Only got the pic in the actual edition Hun. Christams edition 2003. Mario just walked into the shop I was working in at the time and loved the way we all looked and insisted we turn up at a photoshoot the following week that he was doing.

About 6 of us went, but it wasn't until we turned up and there was Zandra Rhodes, Vivienne westwood and Naomi Campbell there that we were then told it was a Vogue shoot!!!! Had a fantastic day!

Had a fab time in fact I had to see a chiropodist cos my toes were bigger than my head after dancing. Of course I lied and said I wore flat, open toed sandals!!I really hope we can get together again, If I have to wait a year then so be it but I really dont want to wait another minute. The weekend has really brought me down with a bump so I ordered tickets from the chap I bought the weekend tickets from and the following morning, he sent me a text to tell me bad news and to be honest, I vowed I would marry Dale instead(well, after this hubby anyway!). I've told hubby this but he has argued that he really doesn't think this Dale chap would stay in character forever so I've found another 2 lookalikes on the net. Anyway, Thank you all for making this past weekend the best I've ever had.

after the last weekender i made an effort to try and thank and remind everyone of all the people working behind the scenes at the parties who made it all happen, but it was interpreted wrongly by some, which was a big shame. as well as the names that have already been mentioned, there are a lot of other people who help out, and without them the parties wouldn't be the same. i don't want to name names as i'm useless at remembering names and i'll end up missing people off, but as well as ray and mike organising things and the dj's there were a bunch of people helping out on the boat with raffles and all sorts of other stuff, so i think some mention should be made there, as well as the boat crew, and people at the hotel giving preferred rates and putting up with crazy prince fans partying in the middle of the night

ray and mike did a great job again putting everything together, having been involved in prince parties for 15 years now i know a lot of work and late nites and early mornings are involved, and sometimes some unbelievable things behind the scenes. i have a whole bunch of unbelievable stories i just can't tell for various reasons

we also have to thank prince himself for providing the backing music and bringing everyone together. i was thinking of ben from prince.org who said the site would still be running even if prince wasn't allowed to be mentioned, as the fans evolved the community to something way past a fan site, with people hooking up, getting married and having babies, all because they checked out a prince site on the internet. through prince i've experienced all sorts of things and met all sorts of people that i wouldn't have met otherwise, including meeting some of my musical heroes. some people might think it's strange what we do, when we get together at concerts and parties, but they don't know the things we do when we're alone, and they probably wouldn't believe us if we told em

anyways it seems this years party was a big success with everyone, i certainly had a great time in london and i'm still worn out. it's been a crazy week. i wished i could have spent more time chatting to people, but my head is usually all over the place at the parties so it's normally only the day after that i can relax a bit and chat to people, but it was great to see everyone there, and if you had half as much fun as i did then i'm sure you'll all be back for more in the future

ps mariah's retoucher is working on some photos of me at the party. they should be ready in time for christmas...

One of my objectives were to take these Saturday night events to a “Weekender” where more time was given for people to really get to know and enjoy each other, where the vast catalogue of Princes’ catalogue gets its rightful airing and to add many personal extras which would be impossible if this was put together by a corporate.

I too have met many people that I simply would never of encountered, and for that thanks to each and everyone of you.

As for behind the scenes well this is true, not being in the habit of deceit, I have now decided to Gett Off the Boat and cut all ties with the Dawn Experience.

Shame about Dublin, but there will be more
