MUSIC AS A POLICY Hi Guys,
Just wanted to share a website with you called The New Earth Embassy which focusses on Music as it's policy placing artists at the top of society's pyramid instead of at the bottom where the world's ruling elite would like to keep them. This website features the talents of the artist Pilot Beacon, a female singer, songwriter, arranger, producer, programmer who performs, produces, mixes and masters all her own work with some 45-50 tracks available for free download at http://pbphonehome.com/fr...loads.html The other main sections of the site that may be of interest to you are : POETRY http://www.pbphonehome.com/poetry.html OBSERVATION DECK - Stunning display of art and photography http://www.pbphonehome.co...ndeck.html EMBASSY FILES - A growing list of information on music, spirituality, religion and truth http://www.pbphonehome.co...xpage.html The New Earth Embassy site is updated on a weekly basis and is great for tuning into anytime for new free music. They also have a mailing list option and a readers' feedback section will be added to the site soon so be sure to send in any comments and questions to the email address provided on the homepage. www.pbphonehome.com From the depths of hyperspace, PB " the embassy shut to keep the fools out " - as above, so below.

What does this mean:
Theocratic Self-Government where Music is the New Politic Theocratic means government led by religion. Self-government means government led by self. Just curious what the message is supposed to mean. -- REVIEW -- HOLY CRAP how can you not already be on the radio. (or, um, sorry, your artist). The song "music is the new politic" is a GREAT tip of the hat to 80's bands like ReFlex or Q-Feel, or what's her name - just made a comeback - Kylie. This song is great music - I would have expected to hear this song on the Footloose soundtrack. Now, maybe you weren't going for a retro-80's feel. But that's what I hear. The combination of harmonies and staccato 8th notes on the programming make it a dance floor hit. The lyrics get a little obscure at times, and the ONE thing I'd like to hear more of is the drums. When the verse begins, the song is way too sparse - the bass needs to be beefier, or a ankle-breaking bass/snare combo or something... just a little more UNH in there... but that's just me. Get a better drumkit sound or something, but other than that, the production, arrangement and the voice - JUST AWESOME. I'm still baffled by the message of the web site, but the music is fantastic. I'm gonna go on a rant here. Take note. I don't rant too often. Once a week maybe?
WHY THE HELL do people fly in here, post a link to their site, and then never participate in any of the discussions? I should have known right away (only 1 post from this person). So. In the future you lurkers, if you get up the gumption to post your crap up on here, you best be prepared to come back with some interesting posts to follow up your initial post. Otherwise, this shit is just a damn commercial. And for what? The songs are free, so why the hell even waste the time to get folks to listen to it, if you're not going to benefit in some way, exposure, (which in this case has become negative unless your ass returns with comments - see JULIAN'S RIDE for examples of the wrath) or to benefit financially. It's just stupid. Now go listen to my music! Buy a lunchbox! The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

When do I get all that free time to write the classic love album? "Do Me Baby" came on the classic soul radio last night and they played the long version! I was like, "damn, he WAS in the zone on that shit. I wish I could record some of that in a song..." that takes some candles and stuff to get in the right frame of mind. Managed to download theRealU...I thought it was cool! Shame I can't wack the volume up 'cause I reckon it'd rock on the dance floor. Reminds me of the early nineties dance stuff. I grew up on C'n'C Music Factory*, Snap* and Technotronic* etc. so that'll explain why I like it...
*and proud of it so no dissin'! The philosogibberish is all a bit freaky deaky for me though...enough to perplex Sun Ra himself. Um yeah - sorry just woke up ...
I'm only new to this site so sorry if I haven't particpated in reviewing anyone else's music yet. Thanks Otan and Maggotbrain for having a listen : - The term "theocratic" actually means to be governed by God - which in Truth is not religion ... religion is man's version of God - but God itself is much larger than religion. If you look at some of the files on religion in the embassy files section http://www.pbphonehome.co...xpage.html you'll notice that the embassy promotes a much more complete theory of God than religion does. So the term "theocratic self government" means governing yourself from a state of union with the God of Truth - not the God of religion. The Embassy itself exists no where other than inside us - in that place where music, art, poetry, the depths of our inner worlds create and breathe freely. There's no religion in 'Heaven'. I figure that if the universe is made of soundwaves then music rules - the mention of Footloose above struck a chord with me because that movie was about religious biggots trying to take the LIFE out of music and prevent their kids from enjoying REAL FUN. To me as much as religion can be a useful tool - I dont dig it when they try and tell us that our music should be this or should be that... y'all should know who I'm talking bout ... Organised religion fears the self-empowerment of the individual and condemns certain music because they realise they lose their power over the masses when people find freedom and Truth outside of a church. The music on the site is given away for free because thats the way I think it should be - to me music should be like an amenity - like our everyday use of roads or any of those other things we pay our taxes to the government to use. I agree with Prince when he said that Music creates society so I figure that governments in the future should focus on paying musicians what they deserve instead of the general public. The aim of the embassy is to shift the focus away from the external world of fake politics and fake politicians to the inner world of real politics : policies that actually serve other people instead of a ruling elite of merciless lizards creating bogus laws to only serve themselves. The shift of focus from the external world to the internal world is the shift from illusion to reality and a world of infinite possibilities of creation because no one is telling you you can't do this or can't do that. Feel free to email me at penelopebecker@ozonline.com.au if you want to be on the mailing list and also if you're a musician and would like for the Embassy to review your work and post a link to it on the site just give us a holler. Please bare with me while I get used to the pace of replying to posts here - I'm on Australia time. Cheers, PB " the embassy shut to keep the fools out " - as above, so below.

Yeah they're mine but I'm the only person who works at the Embassy so I tend to make initial posts about it in the third person - sorry if that confused. Um already tried the 'industry/radio' things many times but no doors would open so I figured I'd just do my own thing based on my beliefs about Music being a BIRTHRIGHT for people - that they should get it free - and the internet and the Embassy kind of provides that so ... I really appreciate your compliments. About the birthright thing : human beings are born and then made to slave their butts off to gain the very things they should be entitled to from birth : food, water, shelter, basic clothing etc .. and to me Music is one of these things. Music is like Food for the Soul/Mind/Spirit yet we are made to pay for mostly poor representations of it that are sold like toothpaste in the superstore from Hell. Of course it'd be great to flip all of that by offering the industry my 'worth' ( whatever that is ) but I'm quite happy living relatively peacefully for the time being and giving the Embassy and the music to people as an example of how things could be in the hope that one day things will be that way. I've only had the site up for a couple of months and I understand fully if some sections are a bit freaky but I suppose I wanted to supply a range of things under music that other people might be interested in as well. Often music is separated from spirituality etc... so the Embassy aims to marry these things ( art/poetry/truth etc ) to give a more complete overview. Cheers, PB www.pbphonehome.com " the embassy shut to keep the fools out " - as above, so below.

talmuzic in response to your question about the gear I use ...
1. RodeNT microphone ( the cheap one ) 2. Korg XD5 Keyboard 3. Tascam 8-track cassette midistudio for most of the stuff 4. BR-1180 8-track for the ones you can tell are digital 5. No effects on vocals - recorded flat and dry and kept that way with just a little EQ except for the digitally recorded tracks I've been able to use some of the effects in the BR 1180 6. Atari sequencer running Cubase. 7. Once everything's mixed I dump into my computer and master in Wavelab 8. I premix all the instrument in my keyboard before I record them down to 2 tracks of stereo - this is how I get them panned and levelled without wasting tracks seeing as I only ever use 8. 10. 6 tracks for vocals - no bouncing or harmonisers. I remember when I took that one required Humanities 101 course and I was struck by the fact that in ancient times, everyone's talent and purpose was put to use. Everybody had their place, artists included. I forget what the term is for it, but the idea stuck with me. Some people were hunters, some were carpenters, painters, builders, artisans, musicians and I think everyone was paid equal. What a beautiful life that would be. As for music and spirituality combined... Have you read The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron?
