Anyone got one of these from NPGMC? If so, what are they like? Im thinking of getting one (maximize my credit card! ) but would like some feedback on it first

Cloud Guitars always get me

bought it several months ago in white (smbdy else on the site told me the blue looked a bit cheesy)
plays very well though took me a liitle while to get used to a different neck (more used to the tele)
arrived quickly - no problems there
don't know where you are writing from but allow for any applicable custom/ import taxes

Could someone please take a look at the NPGMC "Instruments" page of the Retail section?

I saw that the guitars are back up there, but for some reason the white guitar looks weird. Could be the photo, I guess.

ive got an electric blue cloud guitar winging its way to my door as we speak! will let you know how it is in about 6 months once ive put it down

I bought a Blue one during the Hit and Run tour and It is easily the best $1,000 i have ever spent (and actually the ONLY 1,000 i have ever spent).

As for someone else mentioning that the Blue looks cheesy, then they haven't seen it in the light. It is somewhat irredescent and actually there's lots of dimension to the blue itself - in the daylight or with a light placed on it it is simple gorgeous!!).

I have a friend who has the white one and it's cool too, I was pretty torn to tell ya the truth!

its a cheap copy man. nothing like the real thing & that price tag

a lot more money has been spent on pieces of art before now, and this is a piece of art you can use!
so maybe some sourgrapes there cloud9?

I played one in London. It's junk. Plus I look like an ass holding it, and you will, too -- if your name is not Prince.

One last thought from me--if they were $500 I would have purchased one by now anyway.

Hohner (even the 'original' P plays) = even cheaper Fender copy than Squire...

hohner are now made by the same folk as crafter. not bad guitars really for the price.

I own a white Shecter Cloud - I won it at Celebration 2002.
As soon as I got it back to the UK I put EMG active pickups in it and a set of Schaller M6 machine heads. It sounds great and plays pretty good now that I have set it up properly. I put a brass nut on there too.

I wouldn't advise buying one to gig with though - they do not hang well on a strap. Take your hand off the neck and the head dives for the floor (mine now has strap locks too!). I have gigged with mine but it takes some getting used to.

I know a man who makes very, very authentic Cloud replicas though based on Prince's guitars, not the Shecter ones. £1500 UK each. OrgNote me...

I don't think it has a name, there might be a number though. "The Prinz" and "TE Prinz" were names given to slightly newer models after Hohner realized P was good publicity for the model. I believe the TE model has a metal-type headstock. But as usual, opinions abound on the net but specs... SOMEBODY POST THE GODD*MN SPECS
