unable to fix what begs to remain lame,

Remembering only the cold dismissal,

a willing pawn in a predetermined game,

First sincere and honest words yet spoken

handling the divorce by the numbers,

New promises kept while the old ones broken,

leaving this soul to its cold dark slumber,

And friends, well they all chose their side,

making toasts until the clinking glass shattered,

while the rumours, lapped like the deep black ocean,

drowning out all in my life that mattered,

blame it on different cultures or jaded hearts,

translating only the words unspoken,

renders vociferous explosions of poison darts,
