Because of you, I learned

To land here on earth...

The unknown universe

Flying upside-down

When everything

Seems right-side up

But, that is illusion

Obliterated by your touch

Clearing away confusion

Cluttered by too much

Sensory overload

Skewing sensibility

Surfeit of a world

Moving way too fast

Now, enough has passed

One chance into another

Without necessary change

Total transition to the other

Leaves me in the dust...

Sweeping up the detritus

That's left, formative rust

Remnants resembling us

Linger like ghosts...

Flickering in empty rooms

Playing periodic hosts

To nothing but gloom

That suddenly bursts

Into brilliant sun

Burning away the worst

Revealing what is one

.

The day is not yet over

The war hasn't been won

But Life isn't a repeat, lover...

And Tomorrow hasn't begun
