Wrote a song for a famous House DJ/Producer

.

Had some time to do a little on the side and wrote a song for Joyce Muniz (who's become a household name in the underground Deep House genre at the moment). And she even chose it as the lead single for her EP.

I reckon it's probably too slick and House-influenced for the taste of most Prince fans, but here it is anyway:

I've been a bit disappointed with the lack of credit I've been getting officially, but I guess that's just how it goes. The nicest thing about this all is to know that, if given the proper stage, my songs are good enough to make it and generate some good press:

It has even been featured on Beatport's "10 must hear Deep House tracks".

You can buy it on Beatport: http://www.beatport.com/release/please-break-my-heart/1136934

And since yesterday on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/at/album/please-break-my-heart-ep/id698177488

Hope you folks enjoy it!

Sounds good Dave.

Deep house is not my fave, but I like your song.

My fave DJ's are Sandrien van Rossum and Joost van Bellen.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Joost van Bellen programmed this guy, and I understand why he loves Green Velvet so much.

What do you think, Dave?

Cheers. I hardly even remember the days when this part of the forum was buzzing (apart from the occasional "androgynine" (sp.?) rush lol )

Thank you, Tina!

Yeah, the current wave of Euro/UK deep house is really tame and lush and, like I said, not necessarily what I'd be buying or making for the rest of my life either, but this one track here was a nice excursus and I'm happy it's been received rather well. nod
